I will suggest you uninstall and reinstall the printer driver from your system, restart the system after reinstalling.
If the problem still persist after reinstalling the printer driver, change the port the printer cable is been plug in on your computer, if still same problem, get another cable for the printer the printer cable might be defective.
Also, go to start>printer and faxes>right click on the printer and set the printer to use online. with this, the printer should printer unless the ink/toner on the cartridge is finished.
