Question about SanDisk Memory Media

1 Answer

I have a 2 gb sandisk memory card which stays inside my phone all the time. I was charging my phone over night and woke up and it was still charging. My phone didn't recognise the memory card inside it even tho it was fine that evening. I took it out and out it back in and it said I had to format my memory card. I don't want to do it but I can't access my card other wise. I tried doing it and it comes up with error. I have put it into a memory card reader for the computer and it still won't let me access it unless I format it. What else can I do?!

This is all you can do! If you have a laptop with a port to use ur memory card, try inserting in that and see what happens. Still there is no response means you should go to a service shop. Request them to take a backup if u have any sensitive data in it before formatting it. Btw the problem would not have arised because of overnight charging. The data might have got corrupted

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I have just brought a new sandisk 2 GB micro sd memory card for my phone and i have tried to send a song to my phone and it is saying there is not anough memory

You don't specify the mobile phone model.

Please note, that you usually have to specify where is the destination for incoming files - you have to change it from "Phone memory" or "Internal" or similar to "Memory Card" or "External" or similar.
Explore your phone's menu to find these options, and also to check if the card is properly recognized, formatted etc.

LG Fusic 550 Sprint - Memory Card Error with 8 GB Sandisk MicroSD

Believe it or not, a lot of the older phones (an even the newer phones) will not support the 8GB memory card. Most of the phones on the market that support 8GB cards are the smart phones and PDA's. There are a few standard phones that support it but not many. Unfortunately, the LG 550 is not one of them. :o/

You may need to take it back and exchange it for a smaller one.

Micro SD 2 GB just stopped working

The PIC or EEPROM inside these cards may not be working. I guess you best bet is to buy a new one try Kingston brand or go with another Sandisk.

How Long to Charge??

sandisk recommends 3+ hours for the initial charge and then about 1.5 - 2 hours for after the battery is drained. More information is needed to diagnose this problem. but here is some info. After 45 minutes on the phone with sandisk to get them to send a new battery, they ran me through these troubleshooting steps, hope they help. do one at a time and see if you get a result -Reset device take out battery hold power button for 30 count put battery back in turn device on. -Upgrade firmware Go to website, download firmware update This was the URL at the time of writing this http://sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1376 or try http://sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx Install according to instructions. let the device reboot. -Format memory. turn hold switch on, orange should be visible hold pause/play button and press power. click forward button when the screen comes up. let this run. after reboot flip the hold switch off. then they put me on hold for 10 minutes...
