Proview 3200 HD TV

Hi my name is George I have a Proview 3200 HD TV. The TV has a built in timer that will turn the TV on and off at a desired time on a desired channel.I program the timer and set the channel for channel 3 . The timer goes on at the correct time but the channel I selected changes to channel #1.When ever the TV turns off and turns back on the timer setting automaticly changes my selected channel to channel #1 That channel is just a blue screen with no picture or sound. The timer will not remain on my chosen channel.

Check the speaker/s first. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience.

How do I set the sleep timer? We got the tv from a friend and it had no manuel.

Programming the Sleep Timer:

  1. Press and release the TV key.
  2. Press and hold the SLEEP key for three seconds. The illuminated component name turns on.
  3. Release the SLEEP key.
  4. Using the number keys, enter the desired time in minutes (from 1-99 minutes). To set the timer to an umber under 10 minutes, first press 0 and then the desired number (e.g.,05 for five minutes). The illuminated component name blinks with each key press.
  5. Once the second number is entered, the illuminated component name turns off.
Tip Any key press other than the number keys is ignored. If you don't enter the sleep time within 10 seconds after pressing the SLEEP key, you must start over at step 1. The illuminated component name blinks four times and then turns off, indicating your attempt to program the Sleep Timer has been unsuccessful.
  6. The Sleep Timer is now set.
  7. Leave remote aimed at the TV. Once the Sleep Timer is set, you can continue to use the remote without affecting the Sleep Timer. However, because the timing mechanism for the Sleep Timer is built into the remote itself, the remote must be in TV Mode and pointed at the TV to activate the Sleep Timer.
Note: If the ON·OFF key is pressed, the Sleep Timer is canceled.

Proview 3200 Flatscreen with HDMI Problem

Maybe the input on the tv needs to be adjusted to work with the cable tv for example in the tv menu where you can adjust the sources for the inputs maybe it is set to something like RGB instead of HDMI. If you have a user manual consult it on how to change the input devices. Good luck.

Pat I do not know if you have a warranty you were required to retain the receipt from the store for the length of the warranty period to prove you have one ,also it is a good idea to register with the company on their website so they have a record of your tv and model, with your name and therefore the warranty they have included if any.LCD tv's are one of the most unsupported mass marketing consumer items that are being dumped on the US market. I think you have Blown capacitors, or more likely a problem with the power board, typically this requires soldering new capacitors onto the power board after unsoldering the blow ones and if this is all the problem is the issue will disappear, if there is an issue with a transformer, or some diode or computer chip then you might as well replace the whole power board. the capacitor issue is no big deal if you can get an electronics service center to look at the problem.

My name is George I have a Proview 3200 When I set the TV timer to my desired channel the TV comes on at the desired time but always on channel #1 with a blue screen and no picture. How can I fix that...

Greetings gmon271,

I am guessing you are connecting a lamp/appliance timer to your television.

Most newer television must have a constant connection to the power to retain its settings. There is a remote accessories from BestBuy.com that may be able to do what your asking.
