The defrost heater under the evaporator in the freezer or if in the refrige section which is a heater grid in front of the evaporator is bad,or the defrost thermostats in either case near the evaps could be bad,or the adaptive defrost controls in the refrige area could be bad too

Sub-Zero Model 532. The refrigerator section is freezing up. I've vacuumed the condenser area but it's still happening. Adjusting the temperature doesn't help, either.

I have some frost on back wall and some food freezes now and then.

Assumeing you are saying frost on the back wall of the refigirator, I would increase the temperature for the refrigirator area. If that does not help you may have problems with the defrost system.

Why is my subzero refrigerator (model 550 o/u) leaking?

Frost build up in that area is common, it is where the compressed gas leaves the compressor on its way to the evaporator inside the unit. The putty is put there on purpose during manufacture to insulate. Things aren't helped if you have a moist warm kitchen as the air condenses at that spot and freezes. If the fridge is in reasonable condition elsewhere and you don't wish to buy another there are a few things you can do. The area with the frost can be fixed with a can of expandable foam, or foam insulation cut to size to fully cover and insulate that area. Any condensation of the back can be fixed by covering with thin polystyrene sheet which comes in a roll. cut to size and stick with contact adhesive in blobs.

Your icemaker won't make any difference to the problem. Don't forget the water supply hose should be changed every 10 years.

If you do decide to change, one benefit is cheaper running costs. Improvements are being made all the time. Having said that, SubZero are a premium make.

Side by side thermostat set low seems like it runs a lot more than it use to freezer and fridge are boyh cold

Check your coils underneath the fridge to be sure they are clean.
Check your condensor fan (bottom rear of fridge) to make sure it is blowing air freely.
Make sure you have a good supply in the freezer, All of your cooling comes from the freezer section and a mostly empty freezer will result in more frequent running as ther is not enough stock to help maintian and hold freezing temperatures.
Check your freezer section to make sure there is no visible frost on the back wall of the freezer (down low on the panels behind and slightly above the lowest freezer basket. If you see frost starting to develop it means you have a defrost issue starting and will want to adress it rather quickly. Either a problem with the defrost control board (inside fridge/freezer control compartment) or the defrost thermostat (behind the freezer back panel on top of the evaporator coils).
Hopefully this helps!

Frost free fridge freezing up..

Sir, To solve this problem, you must open the compressor area at the back bottom of the refrigerator and chek the temperature of the pressure line. If the temperature is between 55celcius to 60 than its ok. Or else you need to change the refrigerant. I suggest you to contact the service authority.

Thanks for contacting Fixya.

Water pooling underneath bottom drawers

Find the drain line from the freezer to the evaporation pan near the motor. Often the line is visible on the back of the fridge. That line is plugged either with food residue or the collection point in the freezer is solid ice. The self defrost feature melts the frost and drains it to the evap pan. If you remove the floor from the freezer area, you will see the collection point. When the line gets plugged with food, no water drains and then freezes to block the line even worse. So, if there is ice at the collection point, remove it somehow, maybe a hair dryer, and then clear the line by blowing compressed air from the bottom of the drain hose through to the collection point.

Freezing all veggs in fridge

The temperature in the fridge should be from 32-40 degrees. Go buy a little fridge thermometer and place it in there. They are cheap and you can pick one up many places. I leave mine in year round. Then adjust your settings accordingly. Don't do anything drastic adjust, then check in twenty-four hours then readjust if necessary to reach the proper temperature. No visible frost inside the unit anywhere right?

Sounds like the ice door in the dispenser isn't closing properly or all the way which lets warm air in condensates then freezes.
