Trying to program dish network remote to sony str de 445 amp;

I just got mine to work with the STR-DE325. I programmed my Dish receiver remote following the reference in the back of the Dish receiver manual. I missed the comment at the beginning of the receiver codes at first which stated to enter a 2 before setting a tuner/amplifier code on aux. I then used the first code listed which was 683 and it works. So it was hold aux on the remote, wait until the aux was enabled by blinking, enter 2, enter 683 for the Dish remote and enter pound. E. We do not have the codes for universal remotesto our receivers, the best thing is to have a DISH remote then you can havefull access to the menus and functions of the receiver. To program your DISH Network remote to your Sony TV you will simply- press and hold the TV Mode button until all the other mode button back lights illuminate, then release.

-Now while the TV mode button is blinking please enter in the remote code 500 which is the remote code for your Sony TV after entering 500 then press the pound (#) key.

-After pressing the # key on the DISH Network remote, the TV mode button should blink 3 times and then turn off completely. This will mean the programming of the DISH remote to your TV has been completed successfully. While still in TV mode try any of the functions on the remote, such as turning the volume up or down on your TV or attempting to press the power button.

-The DISH Network remote should now be programmed to control your TV.

-If the remote code 500 doesn't program the DISH Network remote successfully you can also try each of the following using the same procedures, 000, 590, 640, 502, 002, or 567.

Check the fuse, Sony is known for its random problems with sound. The one I have you must tap it on the side. Its a flicker switch inside.

The Sony RM-YD029 Remote control will work with the Dish Network VIP722 DVR HD Satellite Receiver, but the Dish Network VIP722's Primary remote address must be set to 1.

The procedure below will allow Sony RM-YD029 remote control to operate Dish VIP722.

Using the Dish Network Remote Control -
1. Press menu 2 times to get to system info page
2. In the system info page the primary remote address is in a white box (bubble) followed by a Green TV (1)symbol that says IR and indicates you the channel your remote control one is configured. The Sony RM-YD029 will work when this primary remote address number (in the white box) is set to 1.

If the Primary Remote Address of your VIP722 Remote control 1 is not set to channel 1, here is how to change it:

1. While displaying the system info page, press and hold the SAT button on your dish network remote until all other modes are flashing, about 3 seconds.
2. then press the '1' button on the numeric pad of your dish remote
3. then press the '#' button on the numeric pad of the dish remote
4. then press the 'record' button (red dot button - stores setting)
5. At this point you should see a number 1 in front of the primary remote address on the dish system info page

Ensure you enter the corresponding IR code into your Sony remote control per the instructions in the manual or Sony's web site. My 722 works with Sony IR code - 01775.

Sounds like a grounding problem. If the ground plug isn't missing or loose try plugging it into a different outlet.

Hi, the manual for the vip622 (the model I have... not sure what you have) says to use the following codes for Sony Tuners / Amplifiers.
