Hi
Push your water button, then open the knob on the right. If the ventilate does not go away I would suspect that you have a restriction in your flow meter. That will have to be fixed before you can clear the ventilate and make coffee.

The screen says to Ventilate. I fill the water tank then turn the steam knob counter clockwise and water streams out Ventilate drops off the screen and it just says Hot Water?? When I try to make a coffee...

Hi
You might have a restriction or blockage in the brew head. This is from fine coffee residue and oils that will build up in the passages of the brew unit. To fix.
Remove the brew unit. Holding the handle, on the top left side is the brew head, there is an outlet pipe that exits the front side towards the door (looks like a long "L" pipe). 2 screws hold it to the top. Remove the 2 screws while holding the manifold ("L" pipe assembly). Once they are removed, lift the l assembly off (be careful, there is an O-ring, spring and at the end a black rubber disk or crystal ball). Do this over a towel to prevent loosing small pieces, mainly the crystal ball.
Now remove the brew screen, by holding the screen with your finger and twisting the thumbscrew (remember, thumbscrew), DON'T use the key to install the screen, use your fingers.
Once the screen is out, look at where the screen was. There are 2 holes. A big one in the center and a small one to the side.
With the brew unit upside down over the towel, insert a paperclip into the small hole and force anything out the other side. I have gotten worms almost a 1" long from this passage. The paper clip has to go from this side to prevent damage to the seat on the other side.
Clean then reassemble. Brew unit on towel right side up. Drop the crystal ball in first. Then the spring small end first on the crystal ball.
Now the O-ring over the spring, then place the manifold on top of that with the pipe towards the machine. Insert your screws (I turn them backwards a little with a little downward pressure until they feel like they drop into the threads. They should turn down easily, if not back them up a little more ( we are trying to find the old threads) and tighten. Install screen, and tighten with your fingers. The screen just needs to be flush with the bottom of the brew head. That should do it.

The steam / hot water function on my saeco Vspresso does not work. It has intermittently worked in the 10 months I've had the machine, but I can't descale without this function. any ideas? I turn it on...

First check to make sure that the end of the steam spout is not blocked, use a paperclip. If you machine has a parnello on the wand check to make sure that the holes on that are not blocked also. If those are clear, then when running the hot water cycle push in knob if that works the the tap rod assembly on the steam valve needs to be replaced.

When i put in a game it plays for 4-5 minutes Then freeze's

If you're still under warranty (and the 360 has not been opened) I say send it in for repairs. If it has been opened than it sounds like a heating issue so make sure you put it back together properly and ventilation is moving through the console the way it should. Also make sure the heat sinks are in the correct spots. If you have no clue what I'm saying just google 360 repair guide and check the ventilation in them for reference.

Vspresso - extra part after cleaning

Your picture shows a cylinder shaped plastic piece with two different diameters. There is a slot in the small end.

This piece fits inside the upper piston. It fits on the upper piston screen screw with the slotted side away from the screen and serves as a seal around the screw. The thumbscrew has two pieces which fit into the slot.

My coffee machine says "ventilate"

When it says to ventilate, it is asking you to prime the pump. Put acup under the panarello wand ( the steamer/frother) to catch thedischarged water and press the hot water button (upper left button onmy machine). Wait until air stops coming out with the water, usually3-5 ounces, and then press the hot water button again.

You machine is now ventilated (primed) and should be ready to go.

Descaling warning

Try pressing the ESC button.
If that does not work, go to the menu (press M), use the up and down arrows until you go to Descaling. There should be a function in the menu to turn off the warning. While in that screen, try the ESC button.
