Demo wont go away

I have followed each step in this manual but nothing happens. I hold down the select button and then push the round track button but still nothing. Any advise?

ApprenticeHold the sel button until the display says demo. Release the sel button and wait for the display to read demo on. Turn the volume knob counter clockwise.
