Pull the dispenser drawer out until stops then push the locking tab down the pull the dispenser drawer out completely. Lift the fabric softener and bleach compartment insert and you'll see the tubes both on the insert and the drawer. It is in these tubes where the fabric softener is being dispensed through by siphoning action. Clean both tubes and make sure they are aligned properly when reinstalling and the end of the tubes on the insert are not touching the drawer.

At the bottom of the drawer is the conveyor which guides the fabric softener and the bleach to the dispenser outlet. Clean the conveyor and the dispenser drawer cavity to make sure the dispenser outlet is not clogged.

Thank you for this quick reply. I have however already tried giving the whole of the drawer a good cleaning. I have also cleaned the pipies that connect to the drawer cavity, but the problem persists.

Lay the drawer leveled on a flat surface then gradually add water into the fabric softener compartment until it is full. Water should start flowing through the tubes to the bottom of the drawer into the conveyor. Otherwise, check the alignment of the tubes or consider replacing the drawer.

Did some checking after your second reply and foun that the washer is no longer standing level, it was tilted forward. This explains why the water was not syphoning out completely.

Water being left in the dispensers when the washer cycle is done

Water in the fabric softner slot is normal, but for the detergent slot you have to clean out with a tooth brush if you can't get the tray out. If there is water there it is quite a serious block, which is affecting your wash.

It obviously is backed up or splashed in from the wash. And if it is just water why worry about it.

Hoover H120M Washing Machine No fabric softner and dial clicking round

always check your carbon brushes which are situated at your motor covered in a plastic covering must be at least 8ml long these start at 1inch in length may not be giving enough contact to your motor for the timer to click into action m8 but if these are ok then it will be more than likely your timer which is faulty with it not doing the water inlet valves properly

Bleach and softener dispensers filled with water at end of cycle

Yes, remove the dispenser tray by pressing on the button on the softner and pulling out tray completely. Now lift the flap over the softner compartment and clean thourougly with hot water, making sure all tubes and holes are free from residue softner/detergents. Replace flap by making sure the bigger tube fits OVER the smaller tube and click into place. Replace tray. Water is present due to the "syphon effect" of the dispenser not working, caused by residue detergents blocking the tubes/holes. Oshie
