This TV set (Orion Model No.TV1929B) was given to our son and has a manufactured date of 08/2000. He used it for appr. 3 years for gaming as well as watching TV. He doesn't play it loudly because it gives him a headache.
One day we noticed him watching TV and we could barely hear it. He had the volume turned all the way up. He said it just started doing that a couple of weeks earlier. My husband checked all of the settings, and even with the volume up it still sounds a bit "static-y".
Is there a way to replace the speakers in this model? We don't have the user's manual and can't find any info to go by. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello You haven't given a clear problem post ebefore me. You have only give the model number and brand name of your TV only. Not give the model number of your RCA converter box. Yet i posts a solution to your problem, assuming that your RCA Converter box model number is " DTA 800B1 " The three digit setup codes for Orion TV with this RCA converter box are:
029, 189, 200 ok gopakumarg43
lost the remote?... try a different universal remote. i have a orion 27" but i think it has a menu button on the front of the set. im at work.. when i get home ill check and repost....if you dont want to buy another universal.. barrow a friends and give it a try... sometimes the manufacture puts updated CODE's for the remote on the website.. might check that as well. good luck.. more to come.
if you dont already have the remote set up then find the codes and t it up. the remote should have a button that says either tv/video or input. depending on the tv it should take you to a few channels through this button. look for either input 1 or 2, or even GAME. these should be the channels it will play on.
