A really big belt and a piece fell off of my pontiac grand prix what would that be

Your serpentine belt broke. Car probably has one belt that connects alternator, water pump, etc.

What does the piece that fell off look like?

The serpentine belt idler pulley fell off my chevy 2001 silverado truck. How do I get it back on and why did this happen?

Depending how many miles are on the truck the pulley may be defective or worn out. If just the pulley itself fell off leaving the pulley mount on the block you will need to replace the entire mechanism. Not a hard job to do, just replace the new one in the same mounting holes as the old one came off.

There is a loose ribbed black/brown thin band inside the printer where the cartridges are changed-where does it belong please

Sounds like the carriage belt, it goes around a motor pulley on the far right side, and around a spring loaded idler pulley on the far left. It should also be connected to the carriage assembly to move the carriage back and forth.

The belt fell off of the drum, i have the front off but i dont know where the disconnected pulley goes.

Unplug dryer or disconnect power.

Locate mounting slots in front of motor. (In some cabinets, there are two sets of slots for mounting the idler assembly. In this case, mount the idler assembly in the slots that line up under the grooves in the motor pulley.)

Install idler assembly into cabinet base by hooking mounting tab (A) into 1⁄4" wide mounting slots and setting mounting tabs (B) into the 3⁄16" wide mounting slot.

Make sure belt is around drum, with grooves down.

Route belt through the idler and around the motor pulley.

Belt Broke and pulley bracket came loose, where does pully belong

It goes into the front of the motor on the floor with the wheel to the left. You insert the belt between the idler bracket and loop it over the motor pulley.
The ribs of the belt need to be up against the drum for grip. It is best to have a person hold the drum while you do the pulley. Here is a page that shows various belt routings on different machines, yours is bottom right.

Putting a belt on a whirlpool belt

The idler pulley fits in the slots on the bottom of the cabinet (in front of the motor) with the wheel or glide facing the left side. Place the belt (grooves inward) around the drum. Pull the belt through the middle of the idler pulley from the left side and loop it around the motor pulley.
