Question about Polti Vaporetto 2400 Canister Steam Vacuum

1 Answer

Polti vaporella forever 980 steam generator iron - when I pour water into the top it is not flowing through to the reserve tank at the bottom. I have cleaned it all out but this has made no difference. The water still sits on the top and so I daren't switch it on as the tank at the bottom is empty. Any suggestions? It is about 1 year old. Thanks!

I cant unscrew the filler cap for my polti 950

I had the same problem with the 2400 model, because the filller cap is a safety cap it thought there was pressure in the tank so wouldnt unscrew just kept going round and round. It had a little water it it. I switched it on heated it up then switched it off and let it cool a bit. There was a small metal bolt on the underside of the tank which I could unscrew with a alan key. This let the pressure out, I then rinsed it out with cold water and hey presto the safety value released itself. hope this helps

Polti 1500 no steam just droplets of water

Before trying anything else make sure you turn up the pressure control knob in the direction of the + sign if it is turned right down you will have steam in the system and the gun will be heard to click open the flow control valve but you will not get any steam because the control screw is set too low just turn it anti-clockwise to increase the flow and your good to go .I hope this helps I have one too and I some times forget to turn up the flow and wonder why for 3 minutes then realise that during storage and manuevering it gets turned down by accident and i turn it up and all is well again.

Polti Vaporetto 2400: Water out light comes on when tank is full

Hi you need to put 5ml of Kal Stop fo Polti machines into 1000/1500ml of water into the tank, The stronger solution is better (1000ml) Let it heat up and this should break down the limescale on the solenoid. I tried this today and it has worked saving ££££'s in repair by Polti.
