With these pool cleaners, your problem if going to be an air leak. You need to find and correct the air leak that is causing the pump to lose its prime. Check the hose to ensure that there are no leaks. Check your vacuum connection. It should be submerged so no air enters the system. Check your pump basket lid for looseness, cracks, and worn or missing o-rings.

Kreepy Krauly has very little suction thru head but plenty thru hose

most all pool cleaners generate there motion with a thing called a venturi ! thats inside it usually moves a small propeller from the action of water being sucked hard thru the hose , on most the path to this "propeller" is different than that of pool debris , i suspect this alt path is part ways blocked , a simple way to clear is to connect garden hose to suction port of cleaner and force water Back in other direction other than that sometimes dissasembly is need to lube and clean hidden ports inside

Kreepy krauly regulator valve won't close, it's always open so the cleaner doesn't move. There's plenty of suction,

It has debris stuck in it. Normally it is not too hard to clear it out. If you can't clear it, try to run the Kreepy without the regulator.

Not moving, pulsates slowly

I had a similar problem with mine starting to move and pulsate well enough but then slowing and stopping altogether. back washing the filter solved it. I guess it wasn't getting enough suction as my pump couldn't power through the filter well enough.

Low filter pressure

First, check for debris in the filter and pump strainer baskets. This can commonly cause these pool cleaners to get poor suction. Also, check to ensure that the main drain and all suction lines are closed, except for the suction line to which Kreepy Krauly is attached.

I have great water pressure in my pool, but the minute I attach my Kreepy Krawly, the pressure drops and there is a large vacuum in the pump reservoir. the Kreepy hardly moves at all thereafter.

It sounds like your you might not have all of your suction lines closed. Check to ensure that the main drain and all suction lines are closed, except for the suction line to which Kreepy Krauly is attached. If this is not the problem, it could be that the pool pump and filter system that you have may be too small It should be capable of providing at least 25 gallons per minute. These are common issues with these pool cleaners.

My kreepy krauly seems to have good suction, but moves very slow. I usually hear a tic, tic, tic, tic, But, lately it has been tic....tic......tic Very Slow

Try these suggestions to get your automatic pool cleaner working properly:
• Check to ensure that the main drain and all suction lines are closed, except for the suction line to which Kreepy Krauly is attached.
• Check for debris in the filter or pump basket.
• Check for debris in Kreepy Krauly’s flapper. Debris may prevent flapper movement or restrict flow.

Suction is ok but it wont move around the pool

Try checking the following things that often happen when these automatic pool cleaners are not moving: First, make sure that the main drain and and all suction lines not being used are closed. You might be getting some suction, but it might not be enough. Also, check for debris in your filter and pump baskets. Make sure that your flapper is working. If it has debris, it can prevent movement.

Our kreepy krauly will not stay suctioned to the bottom of the pool. What can we do?

Check for air leaks in your hoses, your pump or in the plumbing system. Also check for clogs in your pump impeller if you have any problems with your basket. Good luck.
