Hi, my son wants to record from his xbox to then download on to utube. Firstly, would you confirm whether he is allowed to do this. He has a pinnacle dazzle card but we have no idea what cables he...

Yes, he is allowed to do that.
All of the Cables should be included with the Dazzle.
The Video Cable from the Xbox 360 should plug into the Dazzle, then a Cable from the Dazzle back to your Television. There should be a USB cable included that plugs into your computer, and an AC cable to power the Dazzle.
I hope this helps.

Welcome to Fixya,
What is the model of your dazzle device? Is taht DVC 100? if ever please check this procedure.

Step 1: Install the Pinnacle Dazzle Video Creator Platinum software and make sure it works with the Dazzle DVC 100. Sometimes this is easy, other times, this is a very difficult task. step 2: Buy 3 RCA type Y cables. One male end, 2 female ends.
Step 3: Plug the male ends of the RCA y-connectors to the Dazzle DVC 100.
Step 4: Plug the Yellow, Red and White RCA connectors from the XBox 360 to the color matched female RCA y-connectors on the Dazzle DVC 100.
Step 5: Plug a second triple RCA connector into the other end of the color matched RCA Y Connectors.
Step 6: Plug the other end of the triple RCA connector into the TV.
Step 7: The tricky part no one ever mentions: On the XBox 360 video cable, there is a switch that switches from HDTV to TV. You must switch this to TV!

I have no TV output!

This will only work with a dvd player, PS3, XBOX 360, and other gaming consoles

You need:
- 3 AV Splitters (2 Female 1 Male sides cord)
- 1 Double sided Video and Audio Cables (Red, white, yellow cables)

Connect your consoles Video and Audio cables to the female sides of the splitters, next attach the Video and audio cables you bought to the splitters as well.
Now plug in the video/audio cables you bought into your TV.
If you did this everything properly this should work.

Sorry if this didnt help you

IP Address keeps failing on my Xbox 360

You shouldnt have an amp, when you do this. Also, you arent supposed to plug the modem directly into the console. It is supposed to be plugged into a router, which is pluged into a computer. That was, you can configure it.
