Monopoly platinum collection cd will not work. It states that we do not have indeo codec for windows 7. It says contact hasboro for this info. Any suggestions

Actually Indeo Codec isn't supported for Microsoft Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Mac operating systems.A long time ago they were supported but the Ligos Corp discontinued using it.Here's an article about the Indeo Codec .Indeo Codecs are not compatible with any 64-bit version of Windows operating systems. Ligos decided that when Windows 7 was born that Indeo Codecs were no longer going to be supported. Ligos asked that anyone that had the Indeo Codec contact Microsoft support to get the latest version of Indeo Codecs that may already have been installed on computers. But remember that Indeo Codecs IS NOT supported/compatible with any version of Windows 7. Ligos Corp only distributes the Indeo software for legacy applications still requiring its use in Windows 95, 98, ME, XP and NT/2000 operating systems.Personally I have never had a problem playing a game on my husband's Windows 7 64 bit laptop but we've always used a certain codec pack .When you install the codec pack pick the professional version installation of gives you everything all the codec you need to watch/play anything.Make sure every type of codec/file association is checked.Scroll all the way down until you see something about may uncheck that...if you keep it checked.after the software install it will run a virus scan. The option is up to you.GOOD LUCK and have fun claiming Monopoly properties. :)

When i tried to export my video, there is a message box of "Importer Process Server.exe has stopped working" appear and my encoding video will be terminated.

This is an issue usually related to installing multiple codecs like K-lite or Matroska or sometimes it may be related to installing updates. If this is the case, try to remember when was update on the computer or when did you install and additional codec in your system. Then try to do a system restore (Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore). Hopefully you have a restore point prior to the change on your computer. If not, the only solution is to completely re-install your operating system which is too tasking.

You may get the error messages related to Codecs while playing any Videos in Windows Media Player or any other Application.
This issue might occur, if the Video Codecs are not installed in the Computer.
However, you may install all the required Codecs by downloading the K-lite Codec pack.
This package will have all the Video Codecs required by the Computer.

I have a sound related problem and do not know how to solve

Can you play audio files even if there's no sound with the Windows Media Player? if so some files of the sound driver is missing, you need to update the sound driver. Or if you can't play, then there's no sound driver only the codec is present without the device driver, the process is more or less the same..but before you follow these steps, put the Motherboard Driver CD on the CD Rom: Right Click on My Computer - Manage - Device Manager - Right click on the Yellow icon - Update Driver - No, Not this time - Next - Install from a list or Specific location - Next - Tick the "Include this Location in the Search - Browse - Go to the CD Rom Directory and search the Driver/Audio folder - and Select the Audio Driver folder - click OK- Next - Finish.. done..... Good luck.. Do let me know if this doesn't solve your problem, i am ready to help you..

ASUS K501J laptop: no audio from any video files anymore. some windows buttons have a sound still. not sure what the problem is. speaker volume is max, not on mute. used to work. just purchased from best...

Getting video and no sound or sound and no video is more common thanyou might realize. This problem is almost always caused by one of twoproblems. Either you don't have the required codec installed on yoursystem to decode the audio portion of the file you downloaded. Or windows media player isn't properly associating the correct codec on your system in a way that makes playback possible.

The first step in correcting playback is finding out what codecs arerequired. AVI files typically require one codec to display the videoand a different codec for displaying audio. A usefull tool forchecking AVI required codecs is GSpot.

f you find that you are missing a codec, you need to locate that codeconline and download it. Some compatible codecs are listed at theMicrosoft run must be tracked down from one of the various onlinerepositories. It's very common for codecs related to DivX (includingXviD and 3ivX) to have issues, particularly because of the way audioand video are paired during the encoding process.
