If the phone does not accepts the dialog sim card then the phone must be locked to the particular network. Check the lock status of the phone, if the network lock is enabled you need to unlock the phone.

Follow the instructions given below:
1 - Switch ON your Blackberry 9300 with your current network/service provider's SIM card.
2 - Using the menu go to Settings Menu -> SIM card and press select.
3 - While holding the SHIFT key, type mepd.(NOTE: You may not see any text appear on the screen while typing mepd)
4 - You should now see the five locking categories listed.

You can get the unlock code through online, visit the site MobileUnlockSolutions.com where they are providing good service in unlocking GSM phones

I have a Samsung B300 locked to orange fr i am told there is a code that i can enter do you know this code ihave had the phone for around 3-4 years

If the phone is locked to any particular network the you need to input the network unlock code to unlock and use it with other GSM network. You can get the unlock code by calling the network service provider its 5-20 days or you can get the unlock code by the third party its take 2-12 hours. I used the site Unlocking4U.com to unlock my cell phone. Contacted them and within 30 mins i had my unlock code and my phone was unlocked.

You can't expect the Code to Unlock the Phone from Your Network provider.Because the Network Provider will not give the code, they ask More money to give code, also they ask you to wait for Long Time....so you can get the Unlock code from here

The Subsidy Lock is just another way of saying SIM lock. The phone is subsidised therfore it is locked hence Subsidy Lock!

Now Vodafone do 2 levels of locking in their pay as you go phones. Not only is the phone locked to the network, in this case Vodafone but it is also locked to a particular tarrif as well. Vodafone are the only company employing 2 levels of Sim locks at the moment.

The solutions are to pay Vodafone to get it unlocked which is about £15 - £20. Pay someone else to unlock it for you £10 or less.

Now if you have a Samsung V200 then you wont need to pay anyone to unlock it becasue you can do it just by some key pressesbiggrin.gif

My sim card is all locked up, what do I do?

Well ...bad news. PUK locked that means your friend typed 10times wrong code and now sim card is locked for good-can not be used anymore. If you are on contract then call your provider and ask for new sim. If you wanna keep your number you can ask your network provider and see if its available(in 95% NOT). Even you'll get the new sim with your number all numbers stored in old sim will be gone.

Rate me if helped. Thanks.

I bought a sidekick 3 off ebay but it is still locked to the previous owner's sim card number

I had the same problem with the sidekick i bought off of ebay , when you cal customer care just tell them you got it off ebay and you need the old users information deleted, they will give you step by step instructions on how to do so. Remember to not call on your sidekick becasue you will have to restart the phone.

Converting Cisco 7940 IP Phone to SIP

Unlocking a Cisco 7940

Method 1:
1) Unplug the phone
2) Plug the phone back in while holding the # key
The phone will soon display “Reset key sequence detected”
3) After several lights flash press the following keys in order:
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 * 0 #
4) The phone will then ask you if you want to save the network configurations:
Save network cfg? 1=yes 2=no
5) The phone will soon display “Factory reset initiated” and will continue
through the boot up process.
If that process fails to work for some reason there
is a second method.

Method 2

Complete these steps:
  1. Press Settings.
  2. The Network Configuration lock symbol must be unlocked. If not, exit to the main window and press ** # again.
  3. Press 3 on the keypad (or scroll down) for Network Configuration.

  5. Press the Yes softkey.
  6. Press the Save softkey.
The phone will now be reset.
