Question about Sony Ericsson Aino Cell Phone

Touchscreen incoming call problem. HELP PLEASE!!!

My sony ericsson aino is suppose to be able to accept or reject incoming calls with the touchscreen function while my phone is closed. However, when someone calls, the screen is black and i cannot use the touchscreen function, the only way to answer the phone is when i manually slide the phone up and press answer. I would like to know how to fix the touchscreen in order to answer or reject calls that way. Also, my phone has the latest update. Thanks!

My friend i have the same issue... It must be a coomon fault with the aino's... never buying sony Ericsson again!

    same here, did all the updates, did the battery thing repeatedly, screen is munted, never buying sony ericsson again

I have a sony Ericsson Aino and when I switch it on without a sim card it starts normally and says "insert Sim" , But when I insert my sim card it just freezes on the sony ericsson logo. I tried...

It may be due to network lock,
you can check it with other sim card ,if it remains the same problem ,it may be locked to particular network wont accept any sim card other than the particular network ,you can unlock it and used to other network,try here

Usually, in the Sony menu, under Settings, (then probably Setup/Other), you can choose how the phone is answered (ie, by on Open or by Key Only). In the same section of the Settings menu, you should be able to set your display to light up for actions, so that when a call does come in, the phone will light up, you can see who it is & opt to take the call or not. Changing either setting or both sounds like the solution, you just need to program the phone to do it your way. If you want to try playing with the settings without risking making 42 calls by accident in the process (I did that, OK maybe not 42, but still!!) pop out the SIM card first - you should still have all the phone functions but not the telephone numbers or satellite info that allows you to call anyone.
I hope this helps in some way, because barring that,your next best bet is to stop in at your service provider or any provider (most are in malls & Shopping Season is beginning!!!) - most of the techs in the cell service stores are pretty nice about helping, especially if you ask with a smile!

Then your phone is faulty.
SonyEricsson told me they havent heard of the problem.
SE's primary service center in Norway said they were absolutely swamped with this problem, and that the initial shipment all had this problem.

I seemed to have solved my touchscreen issue for now by turning the phone off and on! Its working again so far.....

Call rejected

  1. hi go to call settings
  2. there are accept calls/reject with sms/restrict calls, see to it that all these are not activated. if activated turn it off. otherwise all the calls will be rejected or selected will be rejected.
