Where is the voltage "FUSE"

Usually the Fuse can be found right at the 3 point power connector. The fuse is in series with one of the terminals, being live or neutral.

In other words you may need to partially disassemble the unit to get at the power plug, which is where you will find the fuse.
Check the manual in this regard.

Some-time the fuse is more accessable, be on the lookout for a little clip or cover that is around that area.

Take care!

Printer will not power on, there is power from the wall, it was scanning then blacked out

The power supply board in the printer has failed and will need to be serviced. I have repaired some printers with this type of issue and maybe cheaper to replace than repair. But if you want to attempt trying to fix it, I have found the fuse, diodes, capacitors, and the odd resistor go bad in the machine. The printer will need to be dis-assembled in order to get at the circuitry and if you are really lucky it might be just the fuse.

Connected printer 3days ago it powered up and system error appeared to remove paperjam I spend hours looking for paper and found none so after it power off and will not power back on. As of now I've...

get a new printer. Sounds like the power board went bad. Could be bad capacitors or a bad fuse but it will probably cost more to repair then to just replace the printer.

Printer wont turn on we have a pixma mx850 after a power surge it wont power up

This has happened a couple of times to me and usually it's one of two or three causes.

1. If you have a fused plug (as we have in the UK) check the fuse in your plug and try a different lead

2. If you're still under warranty I would definitely recommend getting it warranty serviced!

3. If not under warranty and you're uncomfortable with taking the unit apart I'd recommend contacting a local repair center.

4. If 2 & 3 don't apply the one thing I've found to work is to remove and disconnect the internal power pack module from the printer internal wiring and then reconnect it again. This seems to reset a breaker in the power pack (sometimes) and allow you to re-use the printer.

The problem with 3. is that it requires a service manual to work out how the module can be released and you would need to be confident in taking the case apart in some areas to get to the release. At present I haven't been able to locate the manual for the MX850 but the MP830 may be similar enough to handle the job.

Anyway, this fix has saved three out of four Canon printers for me and the MX850 being as expensive as it is it may well be worth the attempt.

Hope that helps.

Printer does not power up

None of the leds are flashing or indicating the power.
First Possible solution is change power cable or put the one which is already working Cable. If Its not getting power Check the fuse of Printer. If nothing Works Consult to service center as it seems to be under Warranty before doing any manipulation in the circuit.

Apple LaserWriter 8500 not turning on

There is a glass-tube fuse inside, near the power switch that blew on mine a couple of years ago. Being the curious type, I popped off the side cover to see if there was any obvious reason, loose connectors, burned resistors, etc., and found the blown fuse. Can't remember where I got the replacement, but think it was Radio Shack. It's a common type.
