Question about Televison & Video
It flashes to indicate that the power source is in protected mode - another component inside the tv has failed and now acts as a short so the source has closed itself to protect it and the rest of the tv.
To find which part and replace it the tv must be opened and you should first look for faulty capacitors (bulging, leaking), they are the first to fail. Next get power rails of the source tested - the one with the defective part will have a resistance close to 0. Finally test the rectifiers and the inverters from the TCON board.
All of this is a job for someone with electronics experience. If you don't have it then get a repairman.
