I have canon g1 3.3 i turn on and it flashes letters CF what does that mean

Strange problem this one. Could mean insert a Compactflash (CF) card or that the CF card is full of maybe even Custom Functions are set. A photo of the display would help me better to solve the problem.

I just purchased a 4gb memory card for my canon powershot sd700 and it reads memory card error-card locked. I put my old 2gb card in and it works just fine. I took the 4gb back to the store and bought...

ok, first off:
make sure the card is compatible with the camera and the camera is compatible with the card (reffer to the manuals of both products).
if all checks out, contact the manufacturer of the camera first, then do the same with the card.
if everything works up to this point, but you still cant get it to work, get a new camera.

When in insert my SD Compactflash cards 128MB,

Same problem but with a different camera. Turns out, these cameras are very... may I emphasize very... picky as to which cards to use. Try other off-brands and you'll be surprised as to what it takes.

Card reader in camera or computor wont read sdhc cards

Although my SanDisk compactFlash cards 128 MB 256MB 4GB and 8GB cards are far from being full, when I open up my Canon Powershot A40, the follwing msg appears: CF card full. However, the original Canon Compactflash card FC 8M provided with my camera will still accept new photos. The problem is recent. Can someone help me.

Memory card capacity for my older canon digital camera

Does you camera use CF cards?
If so the may work but some of the newer high tech CF cards are made for newer cameras.

It may be worth a shot to try the 2GB card and if it does not work, sell to someone who uses those.

Bought A 4gb Transcend cf card for my PowerShot A5 Comes up With

Did you format the card in the camera? Generally you have to do that before you can use it. Try that and see if it doesn't fix your problem.

Err CF then Err 99 - Canon Rebel XT / Hitachi 4GB Mircodrive

Nope, this is not card anymore.

As you know CF is card failure, sometimes this cause to start error 99 , that is lens error , even if there is no problem with the lens.

This happens because the built in software in the camera can get messed up after an error CF.

You fix the problem calling Canon, they will guide through upgrading the firmware in your camera.

First ensure that you are using the camera menu and command to format the new card, and that new cards are properly inserted into the machine.

Call Canon support to get a firmware upgrade.

My Powershot 450sd camera is not reading 4GB SDHC

SDHC memory cards are relatively new, and are sadly compatible with only the newest model cameras. For your model camera, recommend a maximum 2GB standard SD card. Fortunately, these days a 2GB card is very inexpensive.
