Question about Dometic Rooftop RV Air Conditioner
I'm assuming that the color of the wire is black, not that it has overheated so much it has charred. In that case yes, there's a change in the wire. Follow it and find the junction, it's most likely corroded.
But if the junction is fine then the problem is surely in the AC unit, it's dead. The only way to find out what killed it is to dismantle it and test the components. This should be done by someone who has worked before on these units, preferably by a pro. You will definitely need one to refill it, if this is the problem.
