Question about Akai Televison & Video
That sounds like the laser eye is bad,the eye that reads the CD/DVD.How old is your TV?The last time I worked on CD players, those things were priced around $60+ and that was in the late 90's.Also if you are considering repairing it,repair places have at least a 20% markup on parts, not to mention probably at least an hour labor which I am not sure of the current rate.If the TV has external input capability,I would just buy a new DVD player. You can probably find a decent one for $100 or less.Good luck!
