Question about Frigidaire Kitchen Ranges

Open Question

I have a fridigaire electrical range model FED367DSA ser #F34717223. I have had a repairman out for a F9 problem several times. He has replaced the mother board control 2 or 3 times. The last time he was here he asked us to get a master electrician out to replace the brakers. This has all happened in the last several months. The last replacement was done the 26 of July. Tonight while cleaning the top of the range I leaned on the congtrol area and the same problem occurred. The range is approximately 7 years old.

SOURCE: Kenmore Elite Range/Oven problem.

We had this problem as well, our's locked and we were not able to unlock it.

We found that holding down the stop/clear button on he bottom right of the key pad for 3 consecutive seconds releases the lock.

The locked oven wording will blink for about a minute and then the oven is released completely.

So frustrating...I accidently hit the option while cooking. Talk about panic. I needed to use the oven.

sure you can relace yourself, the part number, if you dont already have from previous repairs can be obtained fromthe sears website, or by calling manufacture direct. as far as a schematic there should be one located behind the range.

SOURCE: Model S176W Jenn-air F-1 code flashing and beeping

Not sure what an F1 code is on that unit, but an easy check here,
shut off unit at breaker, remove face and unhook touchpad (ribbon) from the ERC. Turn the breaker back on, If the error code stops and it doesn't beep, the touchpad is most likely the problem. If it continues to beep and throw code, could be the Erc, (or something else telling the erc somethings wrong.) without knowing the F1 fault code, I wouldnt know where to start looking!

I would probably recommend a tech to reinstall the new Erc and or touchpad. Most new electrical components require extreme care when handling/installing, and a tech will know the proper procedures. Good Luck!

F9 error code while cleaning oven

F9 = oven door lock failure
Check wiring to door lock switch (the wire harness may be connected wrong). Check for stuck lock switch. If that looks good, replace the lock. What is the complete model number? Look in the oven door area.

F9 error

the F9 error code means that you have a problem with the door latch assembly in your range. The specific technical information on this failure in your model of Frigidaire range is shown in the image below. If you can clear the F9 by using the troubleshooting steps shown below then your range may resume normal operations. If the CLEAR key does not eliminate the F9 then you will need to try unplugging the range for 30 seconds. If the F9 returns when you plug the range back in, then you will need to replace the door latch. Here is that part to order.

To continue to troubleshoot this problem yourself, then you will need to unplug the range and check the wiring between the door latch assembly and the electronic oven control board. Remove the back panels to access these components. NOTE: Internal metal edges and the sides of the back panels can be sharp.
