I have a Kennmore side by side model # 522521 it all of a sudden the freezer part stopped freezing, the motor is still running. The Refrigerator part stopped cooling just after that.

Unplug the Ref for 15-20 min., plug it back in and listen for the compressor to start. You will need to be behind the Ref so you can tell if the compressor or the fan is running. It will help to take the cover off so you can see the compressor.
Compressor not running but you hear a clicking noise. The relay needs to be replaced.
Compressor runs but not cooling. Low on coolant

Good to see you put your model number down correctly. Do the lights come on inside when you open door? I noticed your refrigerator has a control board inside the fresh food section behind the control panel I want you to unplug the refrigerator and examine that board for burn marks or loose solder connections on both Sides. Then let me know what you find. Thanks, Sea breeze My email is email@example.com Web Site http://servicepartstec.blogspot.com/ Part Number for Control board is 8201528
