Hi,
On seeing posted pictures I can think of defective T-Con board that drives lcd panel, replace T-Con board that should fix the lines issue.
There are two type of T-Con boards in this tv depends on lcd panel model and both are available in Shop Jimmy. Check what T-Con board is similar to yours before ordering it. Click T-Con-1 and T-Con-2 for image and price info. Click on thumbnail on site to get bigger image.
T-Con board is located at top center of lcd panel if you see it rear side and usually it covered under metal shield.
CAUTION: Very much care is needed to handle flexible ribbon wires coming from lcd panel to T-Con board.
And if T-Con board replacement does not solve the problem then it is lcd panel (screen) that is bad and replacement would cost you approx 80% of new tv price.
Hope these info will help you.
Thanks.

White line in middle of screen on a cx32h60 toshiba tv

The vertical sweep output is absent. Check its vertical output section circuit for the fault. Check all the solder terminals of that section, and resolder them by applying a little more solder. Take special care to the solder terminals of the vertical output IC. If these do not help you, check and replace the vertical output IC.

Vertical multi colored lines on left side of Samsung 52 in lcdtv

Hello,

All Plasma and LCD TV have boards that control vertical and horizontal output to their respective areas. They are connected to the screen by ribbon cables. If one of these boards fails all together, has a failed chip, a bad connection, or a bad ground somewhere it will result in a black line in the area of that board. A bad ribbon cable connection on the bottom will result in a vertical black bar though the screen. Many times resetting the connection will fix it, if the ribbon cable has been nicked there could be a severed connection. They an sometimes be fixed, but it is a pain. An yes I have done it, but the bar is gone. The same will happen if the chip that outputs to that area opens. The connectors are the first place to look paying close attention to the cable, they are extremely delicate so great care must be taken if you decide to tinker with em, the usually have lift locks that release them, but it is very easy to wreck em. Good luck.

No picture just on line in the middle left to right

I know the line is horizontal but the problem is in the "Vertical" circuit of the set that deflects the picture from the middle of the screen to the top and bottom.

Only a few easy possible reasons for this.

1) set has developed bad solder connections in the vertical output circuit--it happens as a normal thing and most sets like this the picture will have opened and closed before going to just a line.

2) a part in the vertical output circuit is bad---most common is a IC chip for output. Not real hard to get at or replace and is inexpensive.

If it is as stated here a 27 inch set it may not be economical to fix and cheaper to just consider replacing it.

Let me know if you have questions.

Good sound no picture just line thru middle of screen

If the line is going across the screen from side to side that means you have lost vertical deflection, and you don't want to run the set like that because you can burn that line into the picture tube. Most likely would be the vertical output ic, probably with a 400 location number, example IC401, could also be a capacitor in the vertical circuit most are close to that IC.

Samsung hpr4252x perfect picture in

You have a burn in problem from watching widescreen movies. If you have access to a signal generator or tv setup disc run a perfectly white screen on the plasma for about 30 min. This should help even out the pixels on the display.

Just a line on the screen?

Your tv has a failure in the vertical circuit. Most likley since you explained that it was coming in and out you could fix it by Resoldering the connections on the vertical output IC. Replacing the vertical output IC would be your next step after this.

Hello LNR328W
You have a bad T-con board. This board is mounted directly on the panel. Its located near the top of the set in the middle. This part is sold with the panel which makes it expensive. I have a few T-con board in stock. Let me know

Tv not working

this symptom, sometimes called the tube light effect, it is characterised by a bright thin horizontal line across the middle of the screen. this symptom is caused by a breakdown in the vertical deflection circuit. hence maybe the trouble maybe in the vertical oscillator, amplifier or output circuits. but if all i have said is not clear to you, better bring it to a qualified tv technician. good luck!

White line horizontially through middle of picture

A repair like this is in the vertical drive/output section of the TV set. It could be a simple capacitor causeing this problem or a combination of the capacitor and the output IC. A repair like this should not exceed 120 to 150 US. Is it worth that to you? How much can you replace it for? Good Luck PS please dont forget to rate this thread.
