What direction does a weedeater head supposed to turn?

I have the yardworks curved shaft which is virtually identical to yours and it turns clockwise. Unless the straight shaft changes things but I do not think so.

Torx head screws are down inside the cover. Some people call them "star" screws. With the proper size Torx head screwdriver (T-15 or T-20 I think), you will be able to unscrew the cover.

The head on my troybuilt weedeater TB70SS stopped spinning at higher RPMs. It will spin at real low RPMs. Help please?

if it is cable driven, if the shaft is curved it a cable , the cable is broken.
if it is a straight shaft with a gear box the gears are probably stripped

I can't figure out how to get the old head off of the weedeater to put the new one on. Help!

There is a hole located in the housing that you insert a round screwdriver tip into to hold the shaft while you twist off the head.

Craftsman gas weedeater. Engine runs, but the head won't run

Cut 1/8" off outer (aluminum) shaft. Lube inner shaft with STP or heavy gear lube this will re-engage worn square drive .Replacing inner cable is un-necessary this is normal wear. Sears Master Tech BB
