4000 kW is a very big generator. I asume that your is 4000W = 4 kW.
If - with electrical start it should be MicroQuiet 4000.
Never mind by all types of electricaly started engines this will mean:

If by "not engage" you mean that solenoid only clicks, but neither the starter motor is turning, nor the bendix wheel is engaged to wlywheel. This may mean that battery voltage is low, in order to engage the bendix and make its power contact, or the bendix is mechanicaly blocked.
If by "not engage" you mean that solenoid clicks, the starter motor is not turning, but the bendix wheel is engaged to wlywheel. This may mean that the bendix relay power contacts are bad or starter motor collector or brushes are bad.
If by "not engage" you mean that solenoid clicks, the starter motor is turning with a scratching sound, the bendix wheel is partially or not engaged to wlywheel. This may mean that the bendix throw out lever is bent or broken, or the wheels on bendix and flywheel are worn out..

Onan genarator will not crank

If it wont crank, check to see if the solenoid on the starter pulls in, the starter and solenoid are one unit, it sounds like an internal starter contact, if you have 12V going to it. Assuming the battery is good. When you press and hold the stop button does the fuel pump pump prime? if so control board has power

Push start button, and just hear a clicking noise, doesnt try to start.?

Hello,
Usually the clicking sound is caused by insufficient voltage to cause the starting solenoid to engage and turn the engine over. Check the battery first as this is most often the cause. If the battery checks out to be good, then check the wiring from the battery through the switch to the solenoid. With the battery disconnected, remove the wires from the terminals one at a time and clean each connection to shiny and bright. Re-assemble each one before going to the next. Once the wires and connections are proven, turn your thoughts next to the solenoid, and replace it if necessary. You can jump past the solenoid with a jumper wire between the large lugs (the switch will have to be "ON").

Onan model 5BGMFA26105D GENERATOR need to replace starter and solenoid. starter will not engage.

Hi, well i would take the starter motor off and check out the "Bendix" spring, that is the part that "Throws" the start gear into contact to mesh with the starter ring gear. Often these simply "Seize" and need a good whack and lube... try that first before outlaying any money, this just may fix it. Also check to see if the solenoid is OK, do this by applying 12 V DC to the solenoid, wires, and see if it activates, also check that the "Contacts" aren't "Blown Off" by putting a meter set to OHMS across the solenoid contacts and when activated it should go "Short Circuit" across the terminals.

Onan generator.will start but will flood out or loading up first starts up it acts like its missing or loading up but when when you unplug fuel shut off it will run. plug it in and out it will stay runnig....

your going to need to check the carburetor. sounds like your fuel sys is contaminated. when you unplug the fuel solenoid the plunger pops up and cuts the fuel off. the solenoid is used to shut off fuel to keep the unit from back firing
