SOURCE: washing machine basket tilts to one side when washing

possibly one of the balancing weights, that are held by cables, have dislodged or the cable has come off a pulley. remove covers to look for a faulty condition such as this. I'm not sure of this model's balancing system, but it sounds like this type of problem.

hi without further investigation its a bit hit or miss , does the whole tub tilt or is it just the inner drum ?
if its just the inner drum then it sounds like the bearings are on there way out
if its the whole tub then it could be one of the springs that it hangs from or the shock absorber underneath that may have come adrift
hope this helps

SOURCE: stackable washer and dryer. The washing machine

Check the Vibration damper rods to be sure that...
1. They are there and mount is solid.
2. If they are broken in 1/2.
3. The plastic knuckle mounts are not missing/broken.
4. There is oil in the shock absorber/spring section of the rods.

Also - there are suspension springs on the bottom of the tub that could be broken and/or missing.

Replace/repair as necessary.

SOURCE: My GE washing machine tub

Is it "walking" in the spin cycle? If not I wouldn't be concerned, the tub is mounted on suspension so as not to vibrate and run quietly

My kenmore elite topload washer is leaking underneath washing machine leaving a puddle whats causing this?

depends. first and foremost, I would fill the unit up about halfway with water, with tub being empty of any clothing. Tilt the machine back where you can look underneath it real good. see if you see any leaks with it half full of water. If you don't see any leaks, put the unit back on all fours, and put it into drain/spin. After tub empties of water, tilt unit back again and check for leaks near the drain pump and hose. How to drain the inner tub of washing machine

we dont have much call for top loaders in the uk, but if they are like front loaders, there should be a filter at the bottom either on the left or right. if so, pull the machine forward and then tilt it back against the wall. not too far in case it slips forward and lands on its back.
remove the filter cover and then using a bowl and plenty of towels, tilt it forward and let the water run out.

hope this helps

Lint build up underneath tub.

Remove control panel then remove screws on back of machine, pull the metal case towards you by tilting to you. The front and sides are connected. You should be able to see the outside of the tub and all the other workings of the machine. Tools needed will be a Phillips screw driver, standard screwdriver, and a pair of pliers. Also type in your model number and brand of washer into YouTube. A great source of info on how to remove shell of your washing machine.

Difficulty removing the rear access panel (i think the tub's belt is broken, because the tub is not agitating).

If the machine is a top loader you should be able to see the belt underneath the machine by tilting the machine backwards, the problem could also be in the gearbox.

something has broken or come loose that supports the tub.  You need to remove the back or the top to spot and fix the problem.

Kenmore wash basket

Hi pagrzych,
If the tub is getting out of ballance you can first make sure the rear automatic feet are leveled by tilting the washer forward and dropping it back down, the rear feet are made to automatically level when the machine is tilted forward. If after leveling you still have a problem the kenmore washers have springs that center the wash basket into place. Pull the washer out and tilt it back you should be able to see the springs on the back bottom of the wash tub. The are directly behind the motor and transmission. These springs can be easily replaced if broken or if they have came out of position. Good luck with your repair and I really hope this helped you. Please rate me if I helped.
Thanks
