Take the parking brake wire from the deck and hook it to a toggle switch on the end of that switch run a switch to a ground. When powering up toggle the switch on and off and your in business

Many in-dash video systems will not show picture if the car is not in "park". If you are parked and this is still happening, then something may be hooked up incorrectly.

My screen does not play it say warning stop whatch

Hi,

As it's illegal to view your screen while the vehicle is in motion, DVD players are required to be connected to your park brake switch, so viewing can only occur when the park brake is applied.

From what you have described, I suspect the wiring (or switch) connecting to your park brake switch, may have a short, or the switch itself may be faulty.

Hope this helps....

My dvd & usb is not working. Everytime i put a dvd in or try and use the usb a blue screen appears and says WARNING PLEASE STOP WATCH VIDEO PLAYER.

the parking brake wire must be connected to the parking brake system of you car. When the parking brake is engages, the LCD will be allowed to view your video. If not, the screen will produce an image saying, parking brake. this is a feature designed for the driver not to watch a video while driving. The video output on this unit will not be affected by this, el wire to connect is Pink - parking brake. this is wire connect with ground.

I have a kenwood ddx512 double indash and when i put in a dvd i can hear it but the screen shows blue with parking off in white letters why is that

needs to be connected to the park brake circut....when the wire gets a ground from the parking brake the screen will show picture...the reason is that it is against the law to have videos play in the front seat while the vehicle is in motion.

My vm9510 wont play the dvd with out saying parking and screen blue

You have to connect the park wire of the Jensen to your hand brakes that gets a negative signal everytime you engage it or you can try to put in series the park wire to a switch and any ground. Then read your manual how many times you got to switch it on and off until the picture appears when your dvd is playing. Same thing if you connect it to your parking brakes you got to engage your parking brakes on for 1 or 2 secs then back off then back on again for 1 or 2 secs keep doing this varying the secs till you get a picture. That will be the sequence to turn off that blue screen and on the dvd to watch the movie. Read your manual very carefully it will tell you the same thing but you definitely have to hook up the brake wire or else you will never see the picture. Check the manual for the color of the brake wire or just find the longest wire on the harness and thats usually the brake wire.

Parking Brake Wire

I have not a solution but a remedy. If you would like to be able to watch movies while driving, follow these simple instructions. Take out the dvd player, Get one simple toggle switch, install somewhere easily accesible. Now run the parking brake wire from the dvd player to one of the prongs on the switch. Now find a good solid metal ground under the dash, (mounting brace,etc.). Run a wire from this ground to the other prong on the switch. Now reinstall the dvd player, turn on, when blue screen appears, flick the switch, hold for 5 seconds, then flick it back, in a few seconds it should go to the normal screen.

Hii

This is the way to do it without engaging the parking brake sequence, thus you're inputting the code blindly.
1) Insert the DVD and you'll get the blue screen.
(If you have more than one tv, the unit itself will have the blue screen but the additional tv's you have plugged in will NOT, they will show the dvd menu. Thus you will be able to see the hidden menu on the additional screens after inputting the code, but not on the main unit because of its blue screen.)
2) On the main remote, push stop twice and then 1, 2, 6, 4
3) Push the joystick on the unit SOUTH twice and then click it once.
4) Press SYS SETUP on the main remote twice to save your settings

Ground the parking brake wire to any metal surface that is handy. Just as solution 2 suggests. I accidently clicked the top "Guest" as the best solution when Solution #2 was the one I meant to click on. Ground it and enjoy!
