The element is at the bottom of the unit. Usually they are located on the right bottom but when you take the housing off, you will be able to see it.

SOURCE: Elkectric dryer won't start
to put it kindly depending on way you connected wires unit could be damaged, replace pigtail with three wire and outlet to original.outlet wires should be black, red and white. turn breaker off attach white to middle and red, black to sides,"either side is fine".Attach dryer pigtail in same manner with white on white and if plug in and turn breaker on.If there is no operation at this point dryer possibly damaged from previous wiring.Just remember be safe when working with electrical and ask before trying to change things that aren't the same.

Sounds like one of the cavity switches is bad. Open back of dryer, you will see wires that attach to little clip next to each other. Try jumping wire from one side to the other, do one switch at a time and try dryer to see if heats, if you get heat replace that switch. These switches burn out if dryer gets to hot, usually from to much lint in duct work. Also vacuum out duct work in wall and on back of dryer.

There is a chance that the heating element is grounding out on the cabinet it may even be intact but still grounding out on the cabinet or element can.you will nee to check all the wiring harness and make sure there is not wire that are fused to gether causing a direct short.
