Replacing the cleaning belt

My machine asks me very often to replace the cleaning belt. I want to know where it is located and how to replace.

The belt is part of the fixing assy, the only part that gets hot. The fixing web (cleaning belt) is due to be replaced, an engineer must be called to change it, they are quite cheap, the web has a copy count counter attached in the siftware to it, this will get around it for a short time, but you will get an error code when the belt runs out.

Try this to reset the belt counter and stop the message, enter service mode BY PRESSING "additional functions" then 2 and 8 at the same time and additional functions, all fairly quickly if it doesnt enter service mode, press the yellow reset button after each failed try. Once your in follow this,

(COPIER>COUNTER>MISC>FIX-WEB) HIGHLIGHT AND PRESS C FOR CLEAR ON THE CONTROL PANEL. This will reset the counter and stop the messages for now, until the belt run out anyway (which wont be long)

requires remove of the transfer belt and cleaning of the registration sensors located under the belt on the right side of the machine, with belt out requires knowing what lever to push to expose the sensor to clean them or the have them replaced.

IDC sensors are located under the transfer belt on the right sid eof the machine. Belt must be removed to clean sensors. Once belt is removed sensors are located on a black plastic frame and have slideable covers that can be moved by hand to clean sensors. There are 2 sensors one machine front and one machine rear.

Printer ask for cartridges

turn off your printer...then replace new cartidges.after replacing cartridge restart printer...always when you want to change or replace cartridge/Drum/fixing/belt trun off your printer...

When I start a machine there's an error code coming No. E000078-0001 and the machine tells me to shut down. Pse help because it does not work now.

Try cleaning or replacing photo-interrupter ps23, part #FK2-0149. It is located in the ITB positioning assy. which engages and disengages the cleaning blade for the transfer belt. This unit is located behind the gray cover that is next to your toner door. There are a couple of connectors and some black screws that atach it to the front plate of the machine.rsdurnin.gif

How to solve error SC471 on my Ricoh alficio cl7000

This is a transferbelt home position error.

Book says:
1. Turn the main switch off and on.
2. Reset the transfer belt unit.
3. Clean or replace the transfer belt
4. Replace the transfer belt contact
5. Check the contact and release
mechanism of the transfer belt unit.

My guess is cleaning will solve it.
open the front door and sing don the green lever
locate the 2 screws at the top and bottom of the unit and remove them.
remove the cleaning unit 1 screw and a thmb lever slide the unit out (its on rails) wipevacum and/or blow clean the unit and re assemble
also clean the connector that it plugs to in the back of the machine
if it still appears belt or unit will need to be replaced

If you have replaced the Image Transfer Belt, and the printer still does not work, you will need to reset the counter. Xerox would not tell me how to do it, so I did some investigating.

1. Enter Service Mode by pressing [MENU] [#] [1] [9] [3] [4]
2. If you do not see the Tech Mode menu press the menu button again. (You need to enter the key sequence quickly.)
3. Select Tech Menu
4. Select DataSetup
5. Arrow to Clear Counts and press Enter
6. Enter Password 1934
7. Arrow to Transfer Belt and press Enter.

The display will show Clearing Counts and then return you to the Tech Menu. Press exit several times to exit the Tech Menu and then power cycle the printer.

I have a canon 3220 N copy machine it copy in black an white very good but in color copying the colors and figures appears oblique! please what is the problem and how can we fix it?

Firstly, you will need to perform an auto gradation adjustment.although the chances of it curing this problem are slim. Enter the additional functions mode by pressing the head key, then select 'COMMON SETTINGS' then select 'ADJUSTMENTS/CLEANING' then select 'AUTO GRADATION CORRECTION' then select 'FULL ADJUST'. The machine will print out a chart and ask you to copy it from the glass, repeating this several times. Now, this is just a measure- your real problem is your ITB assembly (intermediate belt) - the belt can slip as the rollers are dirty when turning. Problem is, you can't do this yourself unless you really know what you're doing. This ITB assy may need servicing or replacing it entirely or in parts if it has done it's life.

Xerox Docucolor 2240 - says the fuser needs replacing, and I have a spare used one, but no docs on how to do it. Any ideas? Also it says I need a new "transfer belt cleaner" - can this be done easily,...

After normal start up press and hold 9 and the # key together after a few seconds it will ask if you have installed a new fuser just hit yes and you r done.

The tranfer cleaning belt is easy to replace just two screws but you have to clear the consubable life couner this is where i ame haveing problems it can be done but i dont know how if you find out post back here and let me know.

Cleaning belt

I am not an expert but in my place, south of Haiti, no good canon IR 600 technician, I was oblige to try to do the job myself.

First, I imagine that the cleaning belt is located in the Transfer or the Primary Corona. Because I have another machine IR 550 which has exactly the same coronas. I replace the coronas and the machine is working. But till now, I don't know how to replace the cleaning belt. If I had only one machine; I would still have the same problem.
