I would change the format of the images.
There are plenty of file converter programs around.
The images may just be the wrong size ?

I can view some pictures but for others I get unsupported media format. All pictures are Jpeg. why some can be viewed but not all?

The JPEG's that won't display are probably too high a resolution or the file size of the image may be too high. If you are using sandisk Sansa for instance you can use the Sansa Media Converter to change (lower) the resolution of the images, or you can use other software to alter the images.

PNY Optima SD HC Card cannot be read in HP Photosmart 8150 printer.

  1. Verify that the printer is turned off.
  2. Remove the Secure Digital memory card from the printer.
  3. Examine the Secure Digital memory card:
    • Is the lock switch in the unlock position?
    • Are there any visible discolorations or defects such as crack or nick in the card?
    • Are there any contacts missing from the end of the card?
    • Are there any deep scratches in the card contacts?
    • Is there any heat discoloration on the card? NOTE: If all of the above questions result in No , proceed to Step 4.
  4. Check if the HP Photosmart printer supports the file format. NOTE: In order to know which file formats are supported by the different HP Photosmart printers, please refer to the manual of your printer.
  5. (Saving the pictures on the PC, if possible) Insert the Secure Digital memory card in the camera (or another device) and format it following the proper instructions to perform it.
  6. Capture an image.
  7. Review the image. If the image is corrupted or an error such as Unsupported Image File is displayed, the Secure Digital memory card is suspected to be defective and should either be replaced or referred to the manufacturer for further troubleshooting.
  8. If the images are read properly, turn on the printer. Insert the Secure Digital memory card in the Secure Digital slot.
  9. If the printer display continues to show the Card Not Recognized error, try using another Secure Digital memory card, if one is available.
  10. If the printer is still unable to read a functional and compatible Secure Digital card, contact HP to obtain additional troubleshooting information.

the reason is that the file that supports the viewing of such files on the f400 and the s3650 are not the same.therefore to view the files you would have to convert them to the type that the s3650 is compatible with before you can view them. good luck

find out what is the support image format, and either convert your images with a image converter software or only load the pics that fall into your image format catagory.

Samsung Propel

I hope you meant ".jpeg". In most case, the problem is as it says in the error message. Those non-smartphones have a very limited ability to handle various file formats and being samsung makes it worse(Talking by experience).

Only .jpg and .gif formats will be supported via MMS by your samsung and that picture file has to be less than 100 Kilo bytes.

NEF Image will not open - Macintosh

RAW NEF images from Nikon cameras are proprietary formatted raw data directly from the cameras's sensor. If the images are improperly transferred to the computer they will not be able to be opened and will give an "Unsupported File Format" warning. Macintosh OS X has an "Image Capture" application (found in: Hard Drive/Applications/)that can be used to transfer images. If "Image Capture" is used NEF files will be corrupted and will not be able to be read. Only Nikon View, or manually dragging images from the mounted card, should be used to transfer NEF's. To disable "Image Capture": Double-click to open the hard drive and then the "Applications" folder Double-click "Image Capture" From the "Image Capture" menu choose "Preferences..." In the "When a camera is connected" pop-up choose "No Application" Close the Preferences window and Quit Image Capture After disabling Image Capture, it will not launch when the camera is connected and you can use Nikon View to properly transfer NEF images.
