I am using this product for a hardwood floor. I cannot seem to get the staples driven in far enough. I'm using 2" 15 gauge staples and have oiled and set the regulator correctly

The wood may be to hard for the gun to drive the stapel right in or you may just have a worn out gun,,turn the regulater up some more to increase the guns power a little more it should hit the stapels a bit harder then,,,some wood is harder than others,,dont just go by what the book sayes! if it works,,,use your setting not what the book sayes, only back it off a bit if it berrys the stapel a foot beep in the wood!!!

How do you remove dried gloss paint from laminate floor

Try using a steam iron, put a damp cloth on top of the paint and then the iron on top and steam the paint, it may soften it enough to get it off with a plastic scraper so you don't mar the floor finish.

Not sinking the flooring nail down far enough

The pressure from your compressor needs to be 100psi at least. If you have a small compressor it may not be maintaining that pressure between cutting-out and cutting-in. Also you need to give the plunger on the top of the gun a fairly solid hit with the mallot. If you are fixing into old hardwood you could try a little bit of lubrication on the tips of your staples, candle wax may even help and is not to messy.
Good luck

The staples are not going deep enough into our hardwood. We tried a different nailer as well, and the cleats wouldn't work either. Tried both 1 1/2" and 2" staples and cleats. We're installing 3/4 inch oak...

The working pressure of this tool is 85 - 90 PSI max. Do not over power it or you risk O-ring breakage. These guns are adjustable for floor thickness. The adjustment is simply by adding and removing shims on the floor contact part of the tool. For 3/4" the pad should be 5/16" thick without shims

What size cleat/staple do I use for 3/4 hardwood flooring?

FLN-150 is 38mm staple and FLN-200 is a 50mm staple. you can buy them online in boxes of 1000. I would say choosing between the two depends on the thicknes of flooring you are using.

TRE 500 Staples don't go in deep enough.

Dial controls depth. Set it to "+." Watch out setting isn't accidently changed during use. Tre500 isn't powerful enough for hardwoods, etc.

Yes, you can use the Bruce hardwood floor cleaner. I've used it many times to clean up after jobs. It brings a nice shine to the floor and is designed for either a hardwood or laminate floor. Hope this helps.
