Hi just read your posting .I do not know the make or model number of your machine but this fault is common on timer model machine. The fault with your machine is your TIMER is faulty. To be exact it is the timer motor that is faulty. This advances the timer throe the cycles.Just a question,Does the timer move at all from the original selected position? If it does not move at all then this is the fault. Please reply with additional information on the questions and I can hopefully help you throe this problem.Looking forward to your reply.

Whirlpool washer won't rinse or spin w/o manually turning knob

It is most likely that you have a faulty water inlet valve. Some machines have a seperate valve for rinse to flush in a fabric softener I suspect that your detergent flushing valve is faulty.....Good luck Nomess

Kenmore model 110.24642300 will not cycle through wash cycles...will stay stuck in wash cycle until the knob is manually turned to rinse/spint/etc. Would this be a bad knob or timer or both? Thanks!

Start a cycle and remove the knob. If it still stays in agitation mode and won't advance to the spin, then you have a bad timer, or no power to the timer motor(very unlikely). If your washer goes through the cycles with the knob off then you have a bad timer knob. I have seen stripped knobs causing the timer to bind up and not advance. Good Luck Appliance Specialists

Frigidaire top load washer won't rinse

this can be two issues. One could be the control knob. there could be a malfunction here. secondly, you may have a faulty water valve assembly. the relay or solenoid may need to be replaced. i would start with the control knob.

Bosch washer spin only

Had a repair man here for the same issue. Learned two things:

1. Too much detergent causes 'soap lock.' The electronics will get confused when there's too many suds left after a rinse and shut the spin cycle down. That's why re-running the entire cycle without more detergent solves the problem. Use less detergent.

2. There is a way to manually get the spin cycle to run using diagnostics codes. Here's what my guy did:

a. Washer selection knob in OFF position.
b. Hold the 'Spin Selection' and 'Delay Start' buttons down at the same time.
c. While holding those two buttons, turn the Washing selector knob to Permanent Press-Cold.
d. Keep the buttons held down until the LCD control panel reads 'P:01'
d. Release buttons.
e. Use the 'Spin Selection' button to cycle thru the codes. Stop when it reads 'P:04' which is the spin cycle.
f. Press 'Start/Pause' button to begin the spin cycle.

I don't know what the other codes do but this should save you from having to run the entire wash cycle.

Hope that helps! Tim

Won,t drain on rinse cycle

There could be several causes for this, but probably a bad timer. One test for this...when it stops...is to turn it off...and turn the timer slightly clockwise...to the middle of the rinse cycle...and turn it back on. Does it run then?? Try advancing it to the spin cycle after the rinse. If it runs okay after you manually advance the knob...the timer is probably defective.

if the drum rotates at any point and it empties with the pump at any point then check the heater element, its a common fault on these machines

Suggestion: Try cleaning your outlet filter. This needs periodic cleaning, according to your usage. Refer to user's manual re. the cleaning. When it is the rinse problem it usually is the filter block. W
