Could be 3 things your motor windings are burnt out, or there is a piece of wood cutting jammed down the clearance guide, or the saw is kept in a damp shed and the motor is labouring till it drys out.

It is bit of timber on the bottom of the saw assembly...

1. switch off the saw
2. remove power plug
3. remove screw and clear protector assembly
4. remove centre panel (as to changing the blade)
5. remove blade and clean dust furrow below it from all debris
6. re-assemble in reverse order
7. mount safety protector assembly
7, connect power cord
8. start in shor burst and switch immediatelly off, after blade stop spinning, check blade assembly if not wobbly.

this should solve your problem.

if you find this advice useful, please do not hesitate to leave comment and give me your vote4 fo rme, thanx!

Saw starts runs good then when i start cutting it

Hi Jason:
Make and model might help but here's two ideas:
1) Remove muffler and clean it. They can get plugged up with carbon and the saw will run at low RPM but will quit because of excess back pressure when you try to rev it up.
2) Set the high and low speed carb settings. Start the saw then gradually increase engine speed until full throttle. Screw the hi-speed needle in slowly. If RPM immediately drops, back it out until Rpm increases, then starts to drop. Screw back in until peak rpm reached, then starts to drop. Back out to peak, then 1/3 turn more.
Set low speed so engine runs smoothly but chain does not turn.
Hope this helps.

I purchased a Husky 350 in 2003. Other than the usual problem of the muffler falling off from time to time it's proformed well otherwise. Until a week or two ago. The saw started running faster than...

The muffler falling off was a common fault, there was a later muffler with a third fixing screw in the top, you can retro fit this if you wish, as for the running, it certainly sounds like a fuel issue, the rubber boot conection on the cylinder also incorperates the impulse tube, make sure the tube has not split and come off, it is a short curled pipe from the bottom of the rubber induction boot, this creates the pulse to the carb pump, als make sure the clip around the boot has not come undone.

My dewalt d27105 saw keeps blowing a fuse, could it be the module

These saws have a rather large amount of draw on a 15 amp breaker... they should be able to operate on a 15 amp breaker, however nothing else can share that breaker.... and if it is an outside plug (GFI) it will be even more likely to trip. If possible, use a 20 amp breaker...they can be found in the garage where central vacuum plugs in. If this isn't an option then ensure nothing else is on a normal 15 amp breaker, use a heavy gauge extension cord, and the shorter the cord the better.

Fuel line replacement

Here is a suggestion to your idle problem on your poulan chain saw, turn the saw on its side so the carb adjustments faces you, you will notice two fuel adjustment needles, one with an h beside it an another with an l beside it, the i is the idle circut, the h is the high speed circut, turn both needles clockwise to the right until they bottom out, turn both needles out 1 turn each, start the saw, run it until it warms up,turn your curb idle screw to the right, until the saw will idle on its own, this screw is the big screw above the two main high& low jets,go to your low speed screw the one with the i beside it, turn the screw out until the saw starts to stall, then turn the screw in until the idle picks up& until the saw starts to stumble mid way between these two points is the correct idle with the saw idiling on its own, once you get this problem solved, your saw may be idiling to fast in this case just turn your curb idle screw back until the chain just starts to rotate around the bar.The procedure is the same for your high speed circut, open the throttle wide open turn the high speed needle counterclockwise until the saw starts to lug, then clock wise until the engine picks up, you should get a booging sound or two strokin sound, this is a sign of ample fuel delivery, anything less can lock up your saw, due to a lien fuel mixture, remember your running a two stroke mix of gas& oil you have to have the proper lubrication, i hope you can make heads or tails of this, hopes this helps your problem.p.s.when you perform this proceedure, there may be idle limiter caps over your adjustments, just take a pair of pliers & pull off these plastic caps,, you can reinstall these caps or leave them off the choice is yours

TUNING THE CARBURETTER

Start with the L or low speed screw at one turn and the H or high speed screw at two turns. To get good responce from idle play with the low speed screw. For top end engine peaking use the high speed screw. Hold the throttle wide open and turn the screw either way till you peak out the RPM'S . Hope this will be helpful. Donnyb60
