You find that the front edging of the monitor is a snap on part. Take a flat screwdriver and gently slide the driver INTO a bottom corner and pry up til you hear a click, move you driver a little more up, and click it again. Now you should be able to use you fingers and pull the rest of the front frame off. Now you have exposed the monitor and the screws you need to repair

On my Gateway FPD2275w HD computer monitor I have power but no picture or menu image, it is just a totally black screen..


Coomon problem with this monitor is due to bad caps as shwon in my pictures here:

This is not an easy set to take apart, you must be real carefull on the front bezel cable assembly.

Or www.digikey.com just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current, long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.

Hello, I have an HD 2200 Gateway monitor and the problem is the back-light keeps cutting off after about 2 second when powered up. I replaced 3 capacitors by the heat sinks and replace one between the two...


The problem is most likely in the inverter board or the display lamps "less likely" the inverter board is bad for bulging capacitors that open causing the lamps to flicker or go on and off like a lamp switch. The option is to attempt a repair or replace the board "If available"

I don't see a volume button on the gateway hd 2100 monitor. Is there a way to turn up the volume without having an attachment?


use your operating system volume controles or possably your keyboard has a volume control on it.
