Misplaced my power supply for my......

look at the hard drive, there should be either a notation next to the power connector, or if it is a mini usb , for both data and power, it is 5Vdc. If there is no voltage shown, go to the MFG. website, and look up the specs for that model drive. Google can help if you enter the model and Mfg.

Model FLM-3701 will not power up.

There is a fuse on the power supply board. It is labelled F1. It is a small cylinder near the AC connector. The F1 fuse is 5A 250V. How ever, capacitors are more likely to fail on this television.
The Polaroid FLM3701 has a problem with capacitors failing on the power supply board. If enough caps go bad, you will get no power. Not even a power light.
This P/S board is easy to access on this TV. There is a cover on the back of the TV. It is attached with 8 screws. Remove the cover. This will expose 2 boards. The power supply board is on the right. To remove the P/S board, first unplug the cables. There is an AC power power cord on the right and 4 data cables on the left. The board is held in with 4 screws. Remove the screws and the board will lift out. Any capacitor that is swollen is bad. The top of the capacitor will be curved upward. On the left side of the P/S board, there are 9 big caps labelled E8 thur E17. I would suggest replacing all of them. 6 are 680uF 35V and 3 are 680uF 25V. In the upper central region there are 3 small caps. These go bad, but they do not swell. These are E6, E7 and E22. They are all 22uF 50V. Replace all three. The attached photo shows before and after the caps have been replaced. The original caps were orange. The replacement caps are black.

You need to find out if it is putting out the 24vdc needed by the backlight inverter board, you may have bad shorted out inverter board that may have taken out the fuse, you need to do some probing.

Black screen no video no audio suddenly now

This set is a 50" plasma. first check the AC power fuse on the filter board then: if it is bad: check the power supply by marking and, removing all the cables; (so you can put them back in the correct spot) except the filter board to power supply cable; that connects to the Power supply board. Then: replace the blown AC fuse and, re-power: If the power supply blows the fuse: again, the power supply is bad and, must be replaced or, repaired. If the fuse does not blow: turn off the set then: on again, reconnecting and, disconnecting each board cable in turn, untill the fuse blows again this cable leads to the bad board; replace or, repair the board that blows the AC fuse every time the bad board is connected, irregardless of which other cable to the power supply may be connected also; or, not.

Busted power supply

You might as well buy a new power supply. There's no point in trying to go through the circuitry on it and testing every little component to replace it and then try to figure out the specs of it and then order the little piece whatever it may be.

My recommendation, buy a new power supply :)

I have a Vizio GV47L that made a pop sound and now has no picture or sound. If I unplug it, then plug it back in, the lights light up on the bottom and when I press the power button, the buttons iluminate,...

Same problem on our GV47L-FHDTV10A was caused by a VERY small fuse on the mainboard. On top right of mainboard there are 3 small fuses they are white with gold ends. The left one (f1) is 1.5 amp we just soldered one from radio shack on it to bypass the fuse and it is working like a champ now.

Noisy Power Steering Pump

I doubt it is the fluid. I would guess more likely that the pump is going bad. If it is making a whining sould all the time or when steering at a stop, the pump is beginning to fail.

No Power, lights

Many of the new switching power supplies don't have fuses. These supplies porvide current based on load. That's why you can't unplug a supply and use a DVM to test for voltage. If you're sure that's the problem take it to a reputable repair person. He/she should have a load tester and be able to confirm if it's bad or not. If it's not we have alot of ground to cover from there.

Flashing "F" on front of drive slot

The front panel display contains seven (7) lights which provide the following information: ? Power-On - Steady green glow indicates that power is being supplied to the Data Silo chassis. ? Temperature Warning - Flashing red indicates that internal operating temperature has reached 43? C (109° F). ? Blower 1 or 2 Failure - Flashing red indicates a blower has failed. ? Power Supply 2 Failure - Flashing red indicates second power supply has failed. ? Power Supply 1 Failure - Flashing red indicates first power supply has failed. ? Mute - When switch is depressed, a steady yellow glow indicates the audible warning sounds have been disabled. Depress switch again to enable sounds. ? Reset - Depress switch to reset chassis and clear any error conditions. The specs on the DS550 do not say anything about an F at all? Did you put the correct model number?
