A longer bar requires more oil to keep moving parts from overheating. A Husqvarna 450 is not fitted with an adjustable oiler (I know of no Husqvarna homeowner grade saws with adjustable oilers). Current specifications recommend a 13 – 20” bar; given that, the olier has likely been tested and provides enough oil for a bar of that length; no promises!
Any Husqvarna small mount bar will fit your saw. Your saw is configured for a 0.325 pitch chain and there are professional grade chains available that will fit. A bar fitted with a "Sprocket Nose" must also have a 0.325 pitch nose. The more aggressive the chain the greater the chance for kick back of the saw (Please wear full PPE whenever your saw is in operation).
You can find compatible bars and chain (yellow more aggressive) here:

The "Customer Service - FAQs" will likely answer any more questions you have.

A longer bar will allow you to cut larger trees easier but if you don't need to cut larger diameter trees and just want to cut faster you can get a more aggressive chain but use caution as you should be VERY experienced as the chain has the ability to pull you right into the work if you are not careful! Using a very aggressive chain should only be done by professionals with full safety gear.

I can't get a replacement chain back on the bar on

The 450E is a tooless system, make sure the brake is off by pulling the handgurd fully back to the top handle, flip up the lever on the big grey fixing nut, undo counter clockwise, wind the grey knurled adjuster wheel facing out of the cover fully back, remove the chainbrake side cover, push the guide bar fully back toward the sprocket, you now have enough rome to replace the chain onto the guide bar rails, now re fit the side cover, make sure the adjuster pawl in the cove aligns with the adjuster hole in the bar, re fit the big fixing nut finger tight, wind the adjuster wheel down to re tention the chain, when the chain is snug all the way around the bar tighten the nut fully.

After new clutch sprocket &good bar &chain chain r bar moves prematuely and chain comes off bar nuts r tight

have you made sure that chain pitch and gauge are the same as the sprocket pitch pitches can be 3/8 lo pro 0.50 gauge

.325 x 0.50 gauge , .325 x 0.58 gauge

3/8 std x 0.50 or 3/8 x 0.58 gauge or 3/8 x 0.63 gauge

you could even have the correct drum but wrong rim sprocket on it

worst case is you could have mismatch bar and chain

make sure that bar adjjuster assy is working correctly

recheck chain / sprocket pitches and bar pitch and groove
gauge

be sure that you fitted chain to rim on sprocket correctly when you fitted bar and chain?

is the clutch cover pulling down tight ?

have a look and let me know if and what you find

cheers paul

Where do I find a replacement chain for my McCulloch Eager ****** 2318av chain saw (model # 600038-12)?

Your friendly neighborhood chainsaw shop can fabricate one in about 5 minutes. Take your existing chain for use as pattern.

McCulloch.com
http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/MCC/11-600038-12-EAGER-******-2316-SUPER-06%2F93-to-05%2F96-IPL-211318/139.11-600038-12-EAGER-******-2316-SUPER-06%2F93-to-05%2F96-IPL-211318.1.59.1.html
If original 18" bar.
part number(pn) MCC 21927533

Oregon Bar & Chain Selector (again original 18" bar)
http://www.oregonchain.com/commonpgm/Selguide_Selctmfg.asp?BusId=OCS&SellReg=USA&LangId=ENG&ShowRem=Y&ShowAnsi=Y&ShowQuality=Y&ShowCombo=Y&usertype=OCC
Your saw with 18" bar returns
Oregon pn 91VG060G.
This can be easily crossed to other manufacturers chain. You might consider a more aggressive chain (dependent on your level of expertise). HTH

Take the chain off a 450 husqvarna

Pages 17 & 18 should help answer your question.
http://weborder.husqvarna.com/order_static/doc/HOUS/HOUS2008/HOUS2008_1151081-96.pdf (This may not be your saw)
Loosen the tension adjuster, remove the clutch cover, (engine to left) pull the bar off the adjustment pin then push it left against the clutch cover bolt. Remove the chain from the chain groove, remove the bar, the chain can now be removed.

You can download the correct Operator's Manual and IPL here:
HusqvarnaUSA.com
http://www.husqvarna.com/us/homeowner/support/download-manuals/
Enter the 3 digit model number (no XPs, Es, just the numbers)
Serial number decode – useful when downloading IPLs and Manuals
06 1500198
06 = year produced – 2006 (single digit before 2000)
15 = week produced - March
00198 = 198th unit Husky produced that week

Your question can't be answered as aked.
If your saw requires an Intenz 14" Bar it's Oregon pns 140SDET041 or 140GPET041. Part number 140SDEA041 if not Intenz.
Plug in your requirements here:
Oregon Bar & Chain Selector
http://www.oregonchain.com/commonpgm/Selguide_Selctmfg.asp?BusId=OCS&SellReg=USA&LangId=ENG&ShowRem=Y&ShowAnsi=Y&ShowQuality=Y&ShowCombo=Y&usertype=OCC
Once you get a part number it can easily be converted to other manufacturers numbers. HTH
