For me cleaning the encoder strip fixed it. Needed to clean every little bit of it, even the area back where the printhead parks on the far right.

One or both print cartridges are defective.Look under the "check ink" what message come.If it's BLK change black cartridge, if it's CLR change the color cartridge.If BLK and CLR change both cartridges.
