Hello, take the key with two fingers, put it on its position on the keyboard, now gently press it with one finger until you here a "click", wich means it went back to its original position

White macbook 10.5.8 pop spilled on keyboard

Ooouch ! After you've dabbed up (the spill) as much as you can, you may find some keys sticking ... i.e. when you touch (push) it (down), it doesn't pop up immediately. These are the keys you'll want to clean individually.
You can pop off the key top off (with your fingernails) from the top corner of the key. Once the key-cap top (cover) is pried open, lift the key-cap upwards and detach it from the bottom edge. You'll hear pop's when you do this. Once the key-cap is off, you'll see the mechanism under it. You'll want to clean things as best as you can ... very carefully. If the underside of the key top (cap) is sticky/dirty, rinse/wash it (with water), dry it well (before reinstalling it). Often the "stickiness" is caused by the (white translucent) plastic pieces (at the very top) not dropping flat down (immediately) after you lift it. (You wouldn't want to disassemble the parts below the (white translucent) square plastic pieces. Just clean/wipe it carefully using a cotton swab/toothpick).
You can remove the top (square plastic) pieces by pushing the tabs at the bottom corners ... downwards ... using a toothpick. This "top" square piece is actually two (square) pieces (snapped together), one inside the other. The inside piece is supposed to spin easily/quickly .... if not. it's probably sticky/dirty, rinse/wash it (with water), dry it well (before reinstalling it).
The trick is to make sure you know/remember how to reassemble the 2 pieces (after taking it apart and washing/rinsing/drying it) applying the right connection points to fit ... before you put the key-cap back on . The key-cap is put in place by just putting it in place and pressing down to snap it back on.
The larger keys (Shift, Space, etc.) has metal bars holding down the cap, etc., so it may take more effort to pop the key top (cap) off.
If you have quite a few to do, and you don't want to risk breaking anything, the Apple store is probably your next stop.

Letters popped out of computer keyboard

If it is a laptop, you will need to get a replacement keyboard or actual key, remove the old one and put in the new one. A key that is popped off is usually broken.

Why does my aspire laptop loose data while writing in word. and other sites

sounds like there's something messed up with your delete key, pop the key off and double check for debris, and make sure the rubber boot isn't worn and stuck down. if it's stuck popped in just pop it out and try again, if it's worn you'll need a new boot. be careful you don't pull the scissors apart when you pop it off. if you do it can become a pain in the **** to put back together. you can also get a qtip and some alcohol and clean the contact before putting it back together. good luck

Acer 5472z laptop up arrow key popped off (not the number one) and I cannot find instructions on how to fix. When I pop back on one side stays raised. Online instructions are for regular sized keys with...

You have to make sure you put the hinge back together correctly if it popped off. Lay the hinge in place, then put the key on top if it, and give it a good solid press.

The shift button popped out and I am not sure of how to put it back. I have the sony model pcg-7h1L/

Hi there,
Some keys will break off when they pop out, others just have to be pressed back in place. If it popped off it should just be able to pop back in without any problems. If it broke off, you'll need to get the keyboard repaired or get yourself a new one.

Key popped off keyboard

On the Keyboard, There should be a small little clamp housing. On the back of the key you should see a piece of metal that is sort of Staple shaped (A non bent staple) Just try and put the ends of the metal into the housing, Then apply a little amount of force onto the key to pop it back in.
Before applying pressure, Make sure that both ends are properly in place.

Hope this helps!

Compaq nx9010 keyboard beeps when it starts up and also this key "l" is stuck it outputs llllllllllllllll even at log on

Ok what you need to do is pop off that key.
Get a small regular head screwdriver or flathead and put it under the key and pop the key up slowly.
See if anything is under it which is making the rubber gromet stick.
If so take some rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab and dip the cotton swap into the alcohol and then clean it with the swab.
Put the key back on.
You will see how it goes when you pop it off the first time.
This should take care of your issue.
If not don't hesitate to request further instructions.
