Question about GPS
If the system is new, ensure that you have been driving for at least half mileor so , the GPS will sync with the satellite when it is moving.
Try removing the GPS battery overnight to drain power and reset the Sirf chip.
If that is not the problem, then try downloading a different GPS software. See the links below:
Download Beeline, install it and check if it does detect your gps (port 4 or 7). If it does not detect the GPS and the blue led does not come on, then there may be an hardware failure.
If still no luck, try using the utility spGPSView to reset the unit, here the download: Download/spgps.zip .
