Question about Dell Dimension 4600C PC Desktop
I have read the instructions and I know you have to press the buttons on the top and bottom of the tower to open the case. The top button pops without a problem, but the bottom one seems to be stuck. The tech support at Dell wasn't able to give me any advice aside from "push harder." Anyone have a better idea?
I work on these systems on a weekly basis and they can be very difficult to open. I would make sure that you have already removed the feet from the bottom and turn it so that the heavy side (technically right side up) will be facing the floor. Place the palm of each of your hands on each of the buttons and squeeze the system as hard as you can while holding the system maybe an inch or two off of the floor. The plastic buttons basically cover a metal release tab that is actually part of the frame. All of the clamshell type cases are tough to open because of this. Good luck.
