Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. It means that the microprocessors inside the unit are unable to communicate with each other. Usually this TV has 1000uF/16 capacitors in the DM MODULE (which is one of the two microprocessors). As these capacitors are too small for the load they get they usually fail after about 3-5 years or due to voltage fluctuations. To resolve this issue these capacitors should be replaced with 1000uF/25 volt or 1000uF/35 volt capacitors, so that they can handle any voltage spikes that will occur. To do the repair you’ll need to take the back of the TV apart in order to remove the faulty DM module and need to desolder the old capacitors and solder new ones. All this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise & know how to solder/re-solder components as these units contain high voltages even when in off position. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Green light on front of TV keeps blinking after power outage. I have tried powering back off and on and resetting the tv. Nothing works

Thats caused by weak DM capacitors when power is lost even for a minute the caps drain and then cannot charge again when power is restored so the led will blink non stop. The Repair kit called the WS48511 - WS65511 DM repair kit should solve the issue. The kit contains the caps and the cd with repair instructions. The kits available from www.tvrepairworld.com

There was a power outage in my zipcode; and when the power came back on, the timer light on my tv was blinking and will not stop. This is not allowing me to turn on my tv.

Thats a very common problem caused by bad DM capacitors. The caps discharge during the power loss and then cannot recharge when the power is restored whcih causes the steady blinking green led. You can get the DM repair kit for your model at www.tvrepairworld.com which does include the upgraded caps and the CD with instructions.

After a power outage my wd62525 won't restart.......the green timer light has been blinking for more than 24 hours HELP!! (I did try to reset, same blinking)

There is chance that the power outage might have damaged the power supply. It does happen, it's most common with storms. I recommend that you go to a shop and get that board checked

Flashing green light

Did you try this yet

SYSTEM RESET
If the TV will not respond to either the remote control
or the front panel controls and/or will not power Off,
press the SYSTEM RESET button with a pointed item
like the end point of a paperclip. The TV will turn Off
and the TIMER light will flash quickly for about one
minute. When the TIMER light stops flashing, you may
turn on the TV again. Changes you made the last time
the TV was On before you used the SYSTEM RESET
button may be lost, however, the changes you made
previously are not lost.
POWER/TIMER Indicator
The green light is a multi-function indicator. This light
will flash rapidly for about one minute each time the TV
is plugged into the wall electrical outlet, when power
is restored after a power failure, or using the SYSTEM
RESET button. Do not attempt to turn on the TV again
during this period. Wait for the flashing to stop and
the light to turn off, before attempting to turn the TV
on. While the TV is powered on, the light illuminates
steadily. If the TV has been programmed to turn on
automatically using the Timer feature,

Blinking "Timer" light for WD-62725

If this is a DLP, you may have problems on the FMT/DM boards in the sealed electrical chassis.

That's a big problem, because Mits doesn't make the DM/FMT boards available anymore. They are only available for rebuild from Mitsubishi and other qualified places.

There is a chance that there are some vented capacitors on the DM and FMT boards you might be able to replace, but it's for someone really comfortable with completely disassembling a set, soldering in 8 new caps and rebuilding the chassis.

Rebuilds will run you $400-$500 in rebuild costs and an additional $200-$400 in labor, depending on the joint.

Mitsubishi WS73713 - Now working - Timer light flashing.

My Mitsubishi WS-73713 had the same blinking green timer light problem and would not turn on. I tried the reset button and unplugging power to no avail. I found that by simultaneously holding down the remote control "power" button and "volume" button for about 30 seconds the blinking light would go out and a solid green light would come on. Even though the solid green light came on the unit would still not power up. After doing this several times however the unit did finally power up in a normal mode and appears to be working again. It's worth trying before calling in for an expensive repair. PS - From here on out I'm sticking with SONY or Toshiba sets which have given be great service.
