Question about Motorola Mobility PEBL U6 Cellular Phone

Cracked outside LCD Screen on my PEBL

I dropped my phone walking home the other day, but just noticed this afternoon that the lower corner of the outside screen is cracked/shattered. It's actually right by the camera lens, but pictures still come out clear. I found a replacement part on Ebay for it, but I'm not sure how to go about replacing/changing out the outside screen party.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I included a picture of the part below...

This is a big take-appart for someone who is not used to this.

I have not worked on your particular model. With many of these phones, it is a combination of snap-fit and small screws.

The work is delecate. It is possible to break or disturb something along the way. At home you will not have the means to do any of the SMD type soldering, or to troubleshoot the phone if something goes wrong.

My preference for someone who is not experienced, trained, and equiped, would be to take the phone to the service center for it, and have them change the piece. At least you know that you will have a working phone when they finish.

What does it mean when your iphone 4 wont turn on but the LCD is fine?Just look at the details below

Hi there,
where did the phone land - (eg top left corner - front)?
Is there damage to the chassis of the phone?
If there's a crack in the screen and a little moisture got in there would be problems, also if the contacts to the display are damaged this could do something similar to what you are describing.
I have seen iPhones and iPads still working with very broken screens, but I guess the damage was to the outer screen cover only.

My lg voyager has lines comin up from the bottom

if the outside screen is not cracked and its just the internal lcd take it into a Verizon store and they should swap it out under warranty, otherwise if they will not do it send to LG and they will replace. Don't tell them you dropped it at the Verizon store tell them it was in your pocket and something must have pushed against it

How to change lcd screen on motorola pebl u6?

As on most Motorola phones, the lens that covers the main LCD must be carefully removed to access the screws underneath to pop off the exterior faceplate. Once that is done, there is a silver main casing that protects the LCD. Pry up the side to remove it. You will then be able to access the LCD for removal.
