Question about Washing Machines

We have a zanussi jetsystem problem, the padlock appears unlocked when the door is shut as so it thinks that the door is open? Why is this?

The door interlock could be faulty. or the handle assy has come displaced inside the door. it allows the door ****** to twist and not actuate the door interlock.

possibly a foreign object in pump.
tilt backwards at a good angle and remove pump. i find the easiest way to do this is to undo the 3 screws round the periphery of the pump

hi yes they are different the fc1200w element is 1600 watts (£31 part 150867200-1)the jetsystem zwf1658 1900 watts its always better to use the correct part.
