Question about Vintage Keeper 250 Plus Wine Cellar

1 Answer

We are looking at purchasing a used vintage keeper. The owner turned it on and it was cooling down to 55 and then it shut off. There are no instruction booklets so we had to guess as to how to restart it. We had a tough time turning ti on again and getting the thermometer to set at 55. there was a red dot that would not shut off. Once the red dot went away on the digital display, the fan went on. The unit has been shut off for 4 years. What are your thoughts on if this is a good unit or not?

If the unit was left unused for 4 years chances are its way passed its sell by date, but if you switch it on and it works/was cheap to buy, then what the hell......

I have a Koolspace AA6 Tuscany free standing unit. Sn 05314-11. Power went out cooling unit will not restart. I get the thermostat to read and fan to turn for a while then goes into high temp alarm mode.

It seems like this cooling unit (AA6, also Grand Cru 800) just doesn't last as per numerous postings that I found when I was trying to find a replacement unit. Best advise seems to be get a higher output unit that will fit application.

My kool space wine cellar is not holding temperature

has the cellar ever worked right in your home? These small refrigeration units basically move heat from a conditioned space to another space that is not objectionable such as your home where your central air system then moves the btu's. This being said, the cellar has a ventilation system that must pull in room air and push out the box air. these vents must be clean and clear of obstrucions to ensure proper performance by the equipment

My Vintagekeeper Tuscany 220 wine fridge is making lots of unnecessary noise.

Hello, this is a common problem when parts start to wear in the motor. They rattle and clang allover the place, depending on age of fridge you can get the motor replaced and regassed. Or depending on age it may be time to replace the fridge. I hope this is of some use.

Interkool 900 stopped cooling - what to check before calling for service? The unit has worked fine for 4 years. The fan runs, but the unit does not cool the wineroom anymore.

t seems like there is a problem with the thermosat, or the compressor. Its not sensing the temperature being to warm to kick the compressor on and cool it down. OR the compressor itself id dead. Hope I could help.

Koolspace wine cooler

I have the Vintage Keeper Odyssey. I had the same thing the other day. Unit is 7 years old. Vintage Keeper web-site suggested to unscrew the control box and remove. (The box with the "Set" and Up and Down arrows. Unplug the wiring and sensor on the back and then plug back in. Plug in the unit and text. It took my "AL" away.

Unit doesn't cool very well. A coolant leak may be my problem. I was looking for solutions other than buying a new refrigeration unit.
