You can download the current versions of all (free) Nikon software from
http://support.nikontech.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/61

Depending on the program you're using, it may or may not delete images after downloading. Some programs give you an option to do this.

Nikon coolpix s630 shows memory contains no images no sd card in it

That is what you get when the camera memory has no images. And the SD card is missing. This does not seem to be a problem. The tool menu will let you format a new SD card.

I have a Nikon D5300. I can see the photo count number increasing, but I cannot view the images and they are not going on the SD card. Where are they? The SD card is not full.

many small Nikon cameras have memory to store images ON THE CAMERA. If you have a memory card installed that the CAMERA CAN READ it will put images on the card. if the memory card is corrupted the camera will not use it.

First Backup all IMAGES on Memory Card to COMPUTER make sure you saved ALL images. This is IMPORTANT.

After you SAVED all images you PUT Memory card back in camera and FORMAT it (Format is in TOOL Menu that looks like a wrench)

Now if you can take an images and it saves to memory card you are done. To see if they go to MEMORY CARD. Turn off camera and remove MEMORY CARD and Check.

If it STILL does not work you may have a defective memory card.

Why does my new Lexar 64 camera card say it cannot be used?

Your SD card exceeds the capacity that your camera will allow. The camera max SD card size is 4GB. Here is a link that lists all SD cards that meet the camera specifications: http://imaging.nikon.com/lineup/microsite/d90/en/spec/

How to recover images on an SD card'

If you haven't done anything with the card since deleting the images, you may have a chance of recovering them. Do a Google search for "data recovery software". Pick a program for your computer and operating system. Put the card into a card reader attached to your computer, and try using the program.

How to recover erased images from sd card

It is quite possible to recover the photos no matter deleted, formatted, lost or inaccessible from your sd card. All you need to do first is by trying SD card data recovery software tools.

Note: before those files are recovered, never should you attempt to save more data to the card. better stop using it for a moment. Regards.

After I download images and format memory card can I redownload images on memory card to play back in camera

You have to take the sd card out and load in in an sd card reader. Then just write it into the video or to the DCIM folder if a picture. You cannot load through the Nikon interface.

Card Error

If the memory card is not recognized in the PC or it is impossible to access the data on it, the controller on the card is damaged. There is only one way to get the data back, unsolder memory chips and directly access their raw data with a programable chip reader. Software can't help, that is a physical damage!
