When i replace my color cartridge the printer says no cartridge

    Me TOO! I Have DCP-115C printer. Driving me nuts!

    I can usually fix things but it just keeps saying "No Cartridge, open scanner cover to re-install."

    I've done that heaps and I'm starting to think of other uses for my printer in several parts!!!!!!!

My printer was out of blue ink as well as red. When I replaced the red, it said "no cyan cartridge" . I misread the message and thought it said "no cran cartridge. Once I replaced the blue, all was o.k.

Bluish color to copied photos


Replace color cartridge:Reason: Color cartridge carries three color for color combination, in that any one of color empty or dried up color combination wont happen perfectly, result printer get mismatch colors.. In your case it might be magenta color over.. replace color cartridge to get good print outs..

The green light is blinking constantly and the printer won't print


When the green lamp constantly blinking this mean one or both print head are defective.Here we can find which cartridge is defective.Open cover put out color cartridge then close cover.If blinking stops replace color cartridge.If blinking continues put out black cartridge and put in color.If blinking stops replace black cartridge, if not stop replace both cartridges.
This printer can work with only one cartridge.If you don't use color printing just remove the color cartridge.

After replacing the cartridges, printer performs align print are you check this page? any color print in that? If you found colors in align page, no problem with printer.> check print command in color or not.. > If no color print in align page, perform clean cartridges > check with another cartridge.> check trailing cable,carriage PCB & Formatter..

You can find the user's guide here which lists all the parts and supplies. Here's the cartridge information from the manual:
  • HP Color LaserJet black print cartridge Standard black cartridge CE260A
  • HP Color LaserJet black print cartridge High-capacity black cartridge for CLJ4525 models only CE260X
  • HP Color LaserJet cyan print cartridge Cyan cartridge CE261A
  • HP Color LaserJet yellow print cartridge Yellow cartridge CE262A
  • HP Color LaserJet magenta print cartridge Magenta cartridge CE263A
You can use the HP numbers to look for original or after-market replacements.

I own a canon iP1300 printer and just bought a new canon pg- 40 black cartridge but its not being recognized by the printer, wat do i do


Can be a problem regarding the cartridge. What is the status of the color cartridge. Take a printout with the color cartridge alone. If no problem found get your PG40 cartridge replaced. One thing to be noted is that the printer always needs the color cartridge installed. Printer can work with color cartridge alone. But will not work without a color cartridge

Reading incorrect color cartridge


Please let me know whether you have replaced the cartridge with a new one or you have refilled it.

If it is a new cartridge than try below mentioned steps :-
Remove both cartridges (even if the message indicates only one cartridge
Unplug the printer.
Inspect the cartridges:
If the cartridges are new, make sure the protective tape has been removed completely.
Make sure the cartridges are not damaged. If the copper-colored electrical strip is torn or punctured, the cartridge must be replaced.
Make sure the cartridges are compatible with the printer.

Reinstall the cartridges
Make sure each cartridge is in the correct slot
Make sure the cartridge is snapped into place and the latch is closed
Close the front cover and plug the printer back in.

If the steps above have not solved the problem than Wipe the copper-colored electrical contacts with a clean, dry, lint-free cotton cloth
Reinstall the cartridges, close the front cover, and plug the printer back in

Color Ink Cartridge Problem


Hi,

Unplug the printer, and leave it unplugged for 5-10 minutes. Then if the printer is still complaining about the color cartridge when you turn it back on, then replace the print cartridge.

Printer not working!


Usually black is provided by the black cartridge only. You might be able to setup the printer through the control panel using black and white printing until the color cartridge is replaced. That might turn the color cartridge off allowing you to print.

This is common problem with lexmark cartridges they detect refilled cartridge you need to clean the copper contacts of the cartridge and then insert it if it still shows " color cartridge replacement required" message then you need to buy original color cartridge.........

My lexmark X1185 all in one printer will not print color.


did you make sure that you pulled all of the tape off the bottom of the cartridge. next recheck your settings. they will not return to normal themselfs
