Question about SMC Barricade g SMCWBR14-G (662698582192) Router

WLAN does not work, the LED light is off but on for a second when i restart the router, so i tried to reset it, but i don't know how so many ways to do but i did all from websites.

1.Log into router
2. Verify wireless router name( on the computer) >>> ( on/off)
3.Note router name you are connecting to.
4.. Check the laptop do ipconfig /all to see current IP addresses.
5. Set the laptop/desktop up in the router by WEP KEY or MAC address.
6.Note router name you are connecting to.
7. Move the laptop about 20ft away and try to log on to the internet.
This is for all routers to set up wirelessly.

Reset router. There are two resets. A simple push reboots and holding it in clears all custom settings. Try the first.

This is a quick fix and usually does it. Test with network cable and work your way backwards to modem if you still have problems.

I have a problem in My Zyxel Router(P-660HW-t1 v2), WLAN light is not displaying and no manu of WLAN appears in Router Setup but sometimes it appear and after few minutes the router restarts and WLAN light...


Sounds like it may be a hardware fault. Have you tried resetting the router? I don't have the exact model but there's almost always a recessed button on the back which can be pressed with a paperclip or something similar. Holding this for a few seconds will reset the router settings to their factory defaults.

The default Zyxel password is usually 1234 or admin.

DLink WBR-2310 freezes up with all four of the LAN ports lighted up along with the WAN LED and the power LED....the status LED and the WLAN LED are not on....router is just frozen and reset button does not...


If all lights are lit regardless of anything connected then you may have a hardware failure. Try a hard reset by putting a tip of a paperclip into the small reset hole while powered on for 10 seconds. See if that resets you router - if not then it is dead.

I have WGT624 v2 used for years and in a pretty good condition. Unfortunately, it suddenly doesn't work recently. No internet connection at all. The power LED light keep blinking and the color change...


Step 1 With the unit on, place a paper clip into the hole on the back on the unit labeled Reset.

Step 2 Hold paper clip down for 10 seconds and release.

Note: Do not repower unit during this procedure.

Step 3 The unit will reboot on its own. Once the WLAN light stops blinking, the unit is reset.

Resetting the router does not reset the firmware to an earlier version. It will change all settings back to factory defaults.

Note: The factory defaults username is admin, and there is no password.

How to solve my d-link issue?


You can try to reset the router.. While it's on, press the reset button for 15 seconds (do not release), then unplug the power cord, release the reset button, count 15 seconds then plug the power cord back, then press the reset button again for 15 seconds. Then try to reconfigure the router.

JUST TRY Resetting YOU ROUTER
  • Unplug or turn off your router
  • Locate , on the back of your router, the small button that reads Reset
  • Press, and hold, the Reset button down for 30 seconds.
  • Wait for your Power, WLAN and Internet light to turn on. (On the router)
  • Plug in or turn on your modem.(if it is separate from the router)
  • Open your web browser to see if you have an internet connection. If you still don't have an internet connection you may need to restart your computer.

Also check if the power light on your router is blinking. If it is blinking, that's an indication of hardware failure. To revive it, do a hard reset. Press and hold the power button of the router for 30 seconds then unplug the power. Wait for 30 seconds again before you plug it back in.

Try resetting the router . Press the reset button for 10 seconds and after 10 seconds unplug the power cable but continue pressing the reset button for another 30 seconds after 30 seconds plug in back the power cable and continue pressing the reset button for 10 seconds and release it after 10 seconds.

try to open an Internet browser and type in 192.168.0.1 on the address bar. It should give you the DLink page. Once you have that configure your connection.

Hi, With or without the firmware update, the wireless should work and be indicated with the WLAN led. Have you done an update? Have you tried a hard reset? Most routers would require a reset to default after a firmware update. Pls be reminded that when you do a hard reset, all configuration would be lost, better log them down or do a backup. Alternately, you can check your router's web based configuration manager, apparently, there is an enable/disable feature/selection for the WLAN. Verify that is set to enable.
