Two years is an average lifetime for watche's battery. Visit your nearest watch repair shop and ask to replace battery.

Fossil watches have an 11 year warranty. Any jeweler can replace the battery. If that doesn't solve the problem and you registered the watch or still have the receipt call 1-800-TICTOC1 for repair.

I have a Fossil AM-3719 watch. I bought it in October and it just stopped working. Shouldn't the battery last longer than that? Where can I get another battery? I'm located in London, Ontario, Canada.

Before you take any action which may invalidate your warranty, have a word with Fossil costumer service (go to http://www.fossil.com/en_US/shop/customer_care/static/fossil-customercare.html).

All the watches that I have owned ran for more than a year and Fossil may sort it out for you.

On some watches the winder needs to be screwed (clockwise?) after pushing it in.

If this does not solve your problem, I suggest you go to your nearest dealer (for a list see the the Fossil website and go to the bottom of the screen and click on "store locator").

It may be that the watch is faulty and needs to be returned as a claim against the warranty.

We bought the Fossil Brown rectangle watch model FS4284, it stopped working so thought it was the battery. we replaced the battery and then 2 months later it's not working again, faulty battery or is...

  • Change the battery. If your watch stops ticking, chances are the watch is not broken and the battery simply needs to be replaced. You can purchase a watch battery at your local department store or drugstore. Use the screwdriver to pry the back off the watch and place the new battery in the same place where the old one fit.
  • Step 2 If your watch is still not working, determine the problem. If you can hear the watch ticking but the hands are not moving, there may be a gear stuck inside. If only one of the hands does not move, the hand itself could be broken. Once you determine the problem, you can see whether it makes more sense to purchase a new watch or get the old one fixed.
  • Step 3 Check your watch warranty. If your Fossil watch came with a warranty that is not yet expired, Fossil will fix your watch if you send it to the company and pay for shipping and handling. See the "Resources" section below to fill out the Watch Repair Form provided by Fossil.com. If your watch strap is broken, however, Fossil will charge you a fee as broken straps are not covered in the warranty.
  • Step 4 Check a competing local watch repair store. There are watch repair stores located all over the United States that will repair a Fossil watch if your watch is no longer under warranty or if you do not want to pay the shipping and handling to send the watch to Fossil's watch repair department. Although the watch repair store may not have the exact strap you are looking for, it may offer a replacement strap that is similar to the one that originally came with your watch.
  • Step 5 Return the watch to the store where you bought it. If you purchased a Fossil watch that was broken when you purchased it or broke recently after you brought it home, you may be able to return the watch for a refund or store credit. Check with the store's policy before purchasing the watch if you are concerned about returns.

My watch no longer functions even after winding.

I have found that some of these "automatic" Fossils also contain a battery. That is how that provide an automatic watch at such a cheap price. I recommend taking it to a jeweler to have them check this. If it needs repair it will likely cost near the watche's replacement value.

Changed the battery in my fossil watch series AM-3692. The watch will not work now. Battery is the same number and manufacturer that was in the watch originally.

You may have thought your battery was bad, when in reality the watch had a problem to began with. You also may have bought a dud battery. Have the battery tested, if good you either have a mechanical problem ( there is something stopping the gears from moving) or you have a electrical problem ( the curcit board or coil is shot). Fossil has a 11 year warranty on most of their watches, and even if you don't have your original reciept, I would get ahold of them and ask what they can do for you. Or you can take it to a watch repairman to repair but it will cost you.

If I remember correctly, these watches have two batteries.. one for the time and one for the animation.... you probably just need battery replaced.
