Go to to run then type in services.msc then press enter then you can see all services of windows. Find fax service then right click on it then click on property then click on logon then make sure check box of local system account is enabled. if still same issue then you need to reinstall fax service of windows and reinstall all driver first uninstall old driver then reinstall then it will work again. You can reinstall windows fax service from start->control panel->add remove program->Add remove windows components. Then uninstall then reinstall . Also make sure usb cable connect to fax is working fine.Try in different usb ports of computer.Uninstall all usb drivers from device manager then it automatic install all usb drivers. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.

How to change viocemail for the 2110

IP Phones do not provide voicemail, that is a function of the PBX it is connected to, either a premise IP PBX or a cloud-based (hosted) PBX. If you are using an Asterisk-based PBX system, the usual way to access the voicemail system is to dial 98 from the phone, however you will need to know the voicemail password.

Setting up a printer for an airport extreme using windows xp

This faq might help in setting up the printer however this is not guaranteed to work every time if the printer in question is not supported by the router...

If you use Windows XP, you can print to a USB printer connected to an AirPort Extreme Base Station. Just follow these steps:
1. Click Start and point to Printer and Faxes.
2. Click Add Printer, follow the onscreen instructions.

Hi!

You din't wrote what's the model of your printer, but I think we can find a solution:
1. Try to ping the IP adress you assigned to the printer. If that works, please download the latest drivers or installation software from the manufacturer of your printer (or second option use the installation disk that came with your printer). If it does not reply to ping, be sure the IP adress you assigned to the printer is in same range as the IP adresses on your network.
2. It is possible that the installation software itself manage to find the printer on the network, and that means the problem is solved
3. If not, install the printer as it is local attached (e.g USB or LPT port)
4. After installing as local printer, please go to printer proprieties, go to port, choose add a new port, choose standard tcp/ip port and write for the port the IP adress you assigned to the printer.
5. Apply changes and ...that's it.

Please let me know if it helped,

Good luck!

It's possible that the IP addresses for the printers got reassigned when the power came back on. Try uninstalling the printers and then reinstalling them as if you had new printers. (I know it's a pain to reload the software/drivers.)

If you have Windows 7, click Start > Devices and Printers (or Printers and Faxes, with XP). Right click on each of the printers and choose Remove device. (Alternatively, left click on the printer icon and then choose Remove device from the list of actions near the top of the Window.) Then reboot the computers. Finally reinstall the printer either using the CD that came with the unit, the software from the manufacturer's site or using the Windows driver with the Add a printer wizard depending on the printer and the driver availability.

I hope this helps.

Cindy Wells
(we only have one networked printer. However, we've had to reinstall the printer once. At least a few times, we've had the DHCP setting on the router give IP address conflicts after downtime.)

How can I install a GXP-2000 IP phone, remote (from another location)? I all ready have another phone connected to the PBX box (local) but I need to have another phone remote

The exact method really depends on your ip-pbx and whether or not you will have a persistent VPN between the remote site and the main site.

If you have the VPN then the most you would have to do different would likely be to manually set the ip settings for the phone.

If not, then you will likely be dealing with a pretty complex implementation that will require in depth work with the PBX, firewall, DNS, and possibly security certificates.

Some IP-PBX units do decent job of shielding you from the gory details but without more info to go on, i.e. details on the PBX type and whether or not you will be using a VPN, this is about as far as we can go at the moment.

If you need more, please post a follow up with additional information and we'll be glad to continue.

How can i install a canon ip 1900 in windows 98?

Try going to the Canon website and download your software. ( http://software.canon-europe.com/products/0010647.asp )

Uninstall any software that you may already have install for the Canon by going to ' add & remove programs ', uninstall your canon printer by going to ' printers & faxes, disconnect your Canon printer from your computer.

Reboot your computer.

Install the Canon printer software that you downloaded.

Hook up your Canon printer to your computer.

The software should install automatically. If not, re-install the software you downloaded.

Useing Linksys wpsm54g with tcp/ip

that will depend on the IP address of the print-server and the network, specially if the printerver is not set to a static IP, you may get communication errors when you try to use or install the printserver.

you may try to set the PS to have a static IP address or you may use the printserver name instead of its IP address.

use custom settings then use "RAW" after that chnage the queue name to p1 or l1.

there are many work arounds for this kind of limited configuration, but i would strongly suggest you call Linksys Toll Free Tech support for more configuration

"Obtain ip address automatically" indicates that it will use DHCP. DHCP will also provide the Internet Gateway address, which is required to access anything outside your local subnet (like the internet). You can set your IP address manually, but you also have to enter the Internet Gateway and DNS server addresses ( and you have to know what those addresses should be for your pc ).

HP laserJet 3055 network connection

HOW TO CONNECT HP 3055 TO ROUTER/WIRELESS NETWORK. WINDOWS XP/WINDOWS VISTA.

I have just finished successfully connecting my HP 3055 to my router and using it over wireless on 2 computers, one with windows XP SP2 and one with VISTA.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONNECTING HP 3055 ON XP:

FIRST CONNECT THE PRINTER TO THE ROUTER WITH A ETHERNET CABLE. FIND OUT THE IP ADDRESS OF YOUR PRINTER. By me it was 192.168.0.66

Go to CONTROL PANEL and open "PRINTERS AND FAXES". on the top left choose "ADD A PRINTER" click "NEXT".

In the "LOCAL OR NETWORK PRINTER" window, choose "LOCAL PRINTER ATTACHED TO THIS COMPUTER" and uncheck "AUTOMATICALLY DETECT"... click "NEXT".

In the "SELECT A PRINTER PORT" window click the radio button "CREATE A NEW PORT", click the down arrow and choose "STANDARD TCP/IP PORT".

In the window that pops up click "NEXT"

In the ADD PORT window, where it says "PRINTER NAME OR IP ADDRESS, type in your printers IP address, by me it was 192.168.0.66. The bottom line will fill in automatically. Click "NEXT".

In the "INSTALL PRINTER SOFTWARE" window, if you have the disk just choose "HAVE DISK" and install from there. If not, in the left column choose "HP" and in the right column choose "HP LASERJET 3050" (by me it showed up in the list, you can download the driver from here http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=1140780&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=1161389&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=228

click "NEXT"

In the "NAME YOUR PRINTER" window, choose a name and also choose if you want to set it as the default printer (recommended) Click "NEXT"

In the next window choose whether or not you want to share the printer, and if you do assign a printer name. Click NEXT. The next window is optional if you want to make a name, you can just click NEXT and your done! Print a test page to make sure that all is fine.
